Aerin Frankel was lights out in the shootout stopping all five Sirens shooters to lock up the win. 3-2 Boston - a great showing for everyone who came out

An incredible overtime period from Aerin Frankel - outstanding work for the Fleet netminder -- she heads to the shootout finishing 65 minutes with 37 saves

Aerin Frankel makes a spectacular pad save on Jaime Bourbonnais and the Fleet rush the other way sees Kayle Osborne calmly glove down a Hilary Knight shot from the slot

Frankel making a scrambling stop at the buzzer to send today's game to OT. Superb game.

Attendance for today's PWHL Takeover in Buffalo was 8,512 - that's a strong turnout IMO

Some real snarl to the game today. It hasn't gone unpunished though. Ella Shelton's cross-check out of nowhere led to Amanda Pelkey scoring on the power play to make it a 2-2 game. The second comes to an end, Abby Roque mixing it up with Boston players. This has been a rough and tumble game.

Connor Clifton and Beck Malenstyn in the house today with their lil ones in tow - things you love to see

Elle Hartje appeared to get banged up and headed to the Sirens bench, spoke with a trainer and headed to the room. Favored her left arm

Great work on a goal by Jesse Eldridge. She used physics to bully a Fleet player off the puck and take it away, helped create a scoring chance down low for Abby Roque that Frankel stopped Eldridge cashed in on the rebound.

Kitchener's Loren Gabel with a glove-high rocket ties it up in the first for Boston. Can only assume a lot of the players from Southern Ontario have some family and friends coming out to watch today. A nice day in Buffalo for a game.

Sarah Filliier's speed makes a goal happen when she pounced on a loose puck in the Fleet zone and blew past everyone to snap one over Aerin Frankel's shoulder for a goal. Nasty stuff there in the best way.

Charlie Lindgren raving about Alex Ovechkin having 870-something goals. It’s actually 882. “I sold him short!”

A pleasure to be at KeyBank Center for today's PWHL Takeover game between the Boston Fleet and New York Sirens -- really like the jerseys of both of these teams. The Liberty Green for New York is super good.

Taking in the PWHL game this afternoon in Buffalo and looking forward to it. It’s been a while in this city.

Some words on the Sabres thrashing of the Rangers for you. Greenway, Dahlin, deadline watches, the fantasy dream of making a playoff run www.notedhockey.com/p/game-55-ba...

Another John Gibson injury for Anaheim? Oy. The Ducks are in Buffalo on Tuesday

Lindy Ruff said he's not too concerned about Alex Tuch after he left the game in the third period. Still needs further evaluation, but Ruff seemed cautiously optimistic but we'll see what tomorrow brings

It's an 8-2 win for the Sabres and now they're winners of five of their last six games.

Henri Jokiharju got a taste for scoring goals at Four Nations and he thirsts for more. He snaps one high past Quick to make it 8-2 Sabres

Luukkonen makes a dynamite save against Kaliyev in the final minute of play to really help add to the game's highlight reel for the Sabres

Zach Benson with another penalty, this time tripping after he took out Panarin's feet following a Rangers faceoff win. They don't *have* to keep giving the Rangers power plays ya know

Quinn nearly sprung for a breakaway but K'Andre Miller with the long stick prevented it from happening. Got a reaction out of Quinn that, in my mind, read like him saying, "Aww nuts!"

A big ole scrum in the Rangers end sees Zach Benson get the only penalty out of it for roughing. To be faaaair... he really was egging it on

Make it two for Ryan McLeod -- he takes a touch pass from Zucker and breaks in on Quick. A little fake and a forehand beats Quick going against the grain 7-2 Sabres

Jason Zucker is back quickly and on the ice for his next shift. Hockey player and all

Alex Tuch is down in the corner in a lot of pain and play is stopped

Tage Thompson tests Jonathan Quick's five-hole and wins 6-2 Sabres
