"What goes too far in my opinion, is allowing all of Eight Sleep’s engineers to remotely SSH into every customer’s bed and run arbitrary code that bypasses all forms of formal code review process. And yes, I found evidence that this is exactly what’s happening." trufflesecurity.com/blog/removin...

Family member had a lil' laptop issue today. Haven't seen anything like this before. I'm sure it happens more often than we'd think, though. (Unlucky - fell at just the right angle.) Anyway, took a little bit, but I was able to get it operational again without replacement parts (for the moment).

You said 90 seconds! I TRUSTED YOU!!!

You've scrolled long enough to unlock a prize: permission to delete your entire YouTube Watch Later queue without looking at a single entry. Have fun!

(mocking) "Come out to the package-lock! We'll update some dependencies, have a few laughs."

Spending literal hours archiving funny pictures on one's phone is not the way to live.

Fixed a broken-ish couch a few minutes ago. Felt good to do something with my hands again. You can save a good chunk of time and money with a decent-enough drill and bit set.

Can we bring back the Academic Earth 2009 era of educational internet plz?

So many horror movies would become instant comedies with a SIMPLE overlay of Daniel Powter's 2005 hit ("Bad Day") playing during the height of each victim getting got. Imagine it in your head and try to tell me I'm wrong. I'm not.

The first few HYTRADBOI 2025 talks are ready! I'm so excited to be finally able to tell people about them! Talk #1: A YJIT interview with Maxime Chevalier-Boisvert

What's your laptop sticker ethos? I'm at a point in life where I feel a growing urge to add them to my machine.
