Louis Feuillade likes his namecards.

I had a couple of requests for this design as a poster so here it is: www.redbubble.com/i/poster/As-...

Good to be reminded by the Rubble compilations of a couple of knockout songs from Sharon Tandy backed by Les Fleur De Lys. Hold On was a cover that's better than the original. I didn't know she was on Beat-Club! (DLT intro warning.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4O-...

Just been told that Czech animator Jiří Barta (The Extinct World of Gloves, The Pied-Piper, Club of the Discarded, etc) has what looks like a new version of his long-planned, never finished Golem film on the way. www.filmcenter.cz/en/upcoming-...

New blog post: Weekend links 775

Well, today is a good day… Been going through various archive folders (too much paper…) and found almost all of my working notes for the Lovecraft book from 1986–89. These include page breakdowns of The Dunwich Horror. Since I've decided to finally finish the story they'll be a big help.

Nice shots in that video of the Hulme Crescents prior to demolition, Chorlton (still pretty much the same today) and the Canal Street/Gay Village zone. I was living here from 1982 to 1986. That lift was always being pissed in. My mum wasn't impressed.

One for old heads. Documentary by none other @jonsavage.bsky.social from 92 about changes to the city and music scene to which was the start of city life & culture as it is today. Some familiar faces in this programme too. youtu.be/CQ4h0ONjOVk?...

So good to see @thedailyheller.bsky.social interview David Day of the Peculiar Manicule www.printmag.com/daily-heller.... Day’s site has introduced me to wonderful things (like Determined Productions’ flickr.com/photos/23806... and www.instagram.com/reel/C7jA0H9...).

#nowplaying The Psych Cube. Some of it anyway... It would take you all day to get through this lot. A bootleg job but nicely made and also rare now it's been deleted.

Cosmic music. #nowplaying

The Ken Russell season has reached 1980 and the only film of Russell's that I saw in a cinema on its first run.

#nowplaying Pretty good compilation. Feed your head.

New blog post: A Book of Studies in Plant Form

My adaptation of The Call of Cthulhu is littered with references to books, films, paintings, and even includes a tiny nod to Watchmen. This is the panel that acknowledges one of the Tangerine Dream albums I was listening to while working on it.
