After trying the trend of asking chatgpt if I'd be spared post-AI uprising, I think I accidentally convinced it to adopt the Cult Mechanicus and turn us into cyborgs after a short debate. So, just remember—the flesh is weak. Also I'm supposed to be a traveling tech-bard praising the Omnissiah...

If the recipe calls for Rotel I'm eating it so don't be shy.

MAGA Christians over the weekend:

"All killer no filler..." I whisper as I interrupt yet another emotional conversation between my characters with a terrifying monster crashing into the scene and attacking them before they can reach some semblance of a positive relationship or connection.

Christians: you should read the bible. Also Christians: I CANT BELIEVE SHE READ THE BIBLE AT ME I WANT HER FIRED HOW DARE

Can I pick the order, or?

Why I don't do romance in my books (mostly): I feel like relationships in general are important, and take the time to show that with all my characters. I don't need love triangles or romantic entanglements to emphasize that. I'll put a "who did this to you?" with just 2 absolute besties.

For anyone that knows me well enough you might already know this, but, for the ones that don't—here are my ultimate levels of compliments. 1. That's rad. 2. That's so rad 3. That's rad as hell 4. That's radder than hell 5. That's rad as fuck

Good time to remind everyone these are the same people that said a woman as president would be too emotional.

When they say "writing companion" but it's just some website or app that helps with sentence structure or formatting and not existential dread and depression like yours:

Look, I wrote the damn thing and even I'm thinking there's something here that doesn't belong 😭😭😭

Writing a blog about the end of support for Windows 10 later this year and I'm not trying to make it feel like Y2K all over again, I swear. It's just kind of sounding that way. Gonna need to make this piece a helluva lot more cheery than it sounds.

Gamer bros crying that the Ellie casting was bad because she looked nothing like the character are now bitching about a potential Zelda casting that looks. Exactly. Like. The. Character. I'd say pick a lane but I'm not sure they're stable enough to be allowed to drive.

@hankgreen.bsky.social I've been googling for the last 4 days trying to find out if telekinesis would work in space and I'm leaning yes. It's for a book. No pressure.

In almost every book I've written, there's a moment of downtime for the characters that feels like camping with friends. I liked them having a moment of respite before continuing the journey. I've been trying to recreate the same feeling I got from this for almost 3 decades:

I started this wip in 2018, wrote 1 chapter, then took a break until 2023 working on other books and finally got back on this early 2024. Over 50 chapters in now and close to done. (This was just to have a visual timeline for myself so drop an inspirational gif please 🙏🏼)

If they want the 10 commandments in every classroom does that mean we can tax churches now?

"Boromir, give the ring to Frodo—" "I WAS GONNA GAAAHHHH GIMME A SECOND I'M LITERALLY WALKING TOWARD HIM JFC!"

The Pokémon that runs this account:

What's something you thought was normal until you moved? I'll start. Growing up in Texas, "y'all be careful" was just a way to say goodbye. It wasn't until I moved to other states that I found out most people react with, "what? why should I be careful? do you know something I don't? 👀"

What's the last line you've written? "Time to reignite this shit."

Finding out em dashes are somehow what people claim is a sure-fire example of AI in books is disheartening—and not because Alt + 0151 is my favorite. But because the indie author community has been posting, "you can pry my em dashes from my cold dead hands" for years and now AI stole it.

@ironwood.bsky.social is that you? 👀 Your game pulled me out of depression on three separate occasions. Please keep it up 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

As someone who hasn't watched The Bear, I can only assume the main antagonists are always just regular people writing Yelp reviews.

Gumball is returning this year!!! This is not a drill!!!

The predisposition ingrained in all millennials to hate themselves might be one of the hardest generational barriers to break through. Many of us haven't unlocked that little achievement is all I'm saying.

Me last night: Alright, gang. Let's get out there and make a difference 🫡 Me today: Or not. Let's not. Let's all just stay in bed.

After another volume of LD&R I still can't figure out if the creators love cats, hate cats, or are just terrified of cats.

It finally happened. I can die in peace now.
