I agree that Mario Kart World's free roam is very boring and underutilized, but the biggest crime the game does is still not have a simple party system for going into games with friends. In 2025, that's unforgivable. You can work around it like in MK8, but that doesn't make it ok.

With how much shit we've given Nintendo in the past for not having enough stock at launch for very anticipated releases, I think they definitely deserve some praise for how they made sure they had enough for the Switch 2. I haven't seen anyone say they can't find the console if they want it.
