Christie (Yant) & I will be at the Nebula Conf on SAT (6/7/25) for that day only. We will only be barconning instead of part of the actual event. I'll be there to accept for Caroline Yoachim if she wins. So if people want to see us, we'll be hanging in the lobby &/or hotel restaurants. Come say hi!

Check and MATE! Your move, robot.

The narrator of my newest story did an INCREDIBLE job on the voice of a grown-up fat kid who survived his tour of the chocolate factory. It’s a five minute listen! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/l...

My @lightspeedmagazine.com story "We Will Teach You How to Read | We Will Teach You How to Read" is a finalist for the Sturgeon Award!

My D&D origins story: In middle school, I was so nerdy that I had no friends and knew no one who played D&D, so I read my Monster Manual like an encyclopedia. In high school, I yearned to date a long-haired poet nerd, and when I finally found one, he was sorely lacking. Insecure, awkward. But.. 1/

I would like for stupid people to stop making important decisions that affect my life

@un-manuscripts.bsky.social What you're doing is incredibly mean-spirited and cruel. You might think it fun to laugh at bad submissions, but consider how it makes the authors feel to see their work not only rejected but publicly held up for ridicule. Please stop doing this and delete this account.

My story, Shadow Films, has been nominated for an Aurealis Award for best novella. It’s not a novella, but the category includes novelettes. Anyway, lots of fine ppl were also nominated, so please check them out. Shadow Films was originally published in Lightspeed, edited by @johnjosephadams.com

I just published a 5e-compatible D&D adventure I wrote on @roll20.net and @drivethrurpg.com! "Ascendancy of Nur'Ry'Za" is a monk-centric adventure designed for 5 PCs of 5th or 6th level. Included with the adventure is an original Way of Control monk subclass. www.johnjosephadams.com/projects/asc...
