I live rurally and for the longest time I’ve just been glad to have FTTC 20Mb at home. We live in a valley, by the coast in Cornwall on the south west peninsula of the UK. It’s remote. Recently they’ve been fitting full fibre on our street. Just called plus net and upgraded to 500Mb FTTP. Yeah!

After years of using iTunes Match with my own ripped music collection, I’ve had to disable it. Since they rolled it into Apple Music it has been slowly destroying my library. Deleting songs & meta from my own collection at will, leaving gaps over all of my own media albums, replacing songs. Gone!

My wife and I have a small hand made business that we have run online for 20 years. We essentially design, make & sell button badges. We use AdWords & more recently bing ads for shopping listings, but I hate tracking technology, so I manually manage campaigns. They keep pushing algorithm crap. Urgh

Ok so the verdict seems to be in. I’ll grab one of the last OLED #nintendo switch because they are priced really well at the moment and I’ll catch up on the last decade of switch games I’ve missed out on. Then in a year or so I can upgrade to switch 2 when volatility/pricing/niggles are sorted.

I’m glad I downgraded my #sonos to S1 at the start of the debacle. The S1 software is so solid and fast. I’ve also gone back to using my own music library, as a library of 30k organised tracks is much more appealing than millions of random things (with significant gaps) from Apple Music or Spotify.

I have an Xbox series X. I’ve been Xbox for a long time, through every iteration, but before that I was a massive #nintendo and #sega nerd. I had every Nintendo upto the Wii. The price of Switch 2 seems very high. I’m thinking of buying a second hand switch and sucking up the glut of cheap games.

It’s a great album. I’ve bought my copy. Got it on release day and bought it from iTunes so I can have it in the car at all times. It’s loaded onto the in car media player and sounds divine when out for a drive. Highly recommended.

I do use Apple Maps for walking & transport directions, but I’ve always used tomtom for driving. I have it built into the system in my car and this morning did the quarterly update to maps 1145 - this car is totally offline. Receives roads info over DAB and has no telemetry- private driving #tomtom
