As I read the news and worry, I think "How could *I* have let this happen?" because that's how my anxiety works. But this shit is so wild I'm not sure there WAS a way for me to prevent this from happening, and that's no real comfort.

They are going to ignore court orders. If they ignore court orders, the social contract is dead and buried, the constitution is no longer in effect. It's a rubicon that cannot be uncrossed.

Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.
