Measure for Measure Categorised as a "comedy", but it doesn't read like it. Hypocrisy, indecent proposals, executions - it's all here. I liked it; it deals with a central contemporary issue: authority which condemns the acts of others whilst committing its own, equal, sins. Reminds me of someone...

The Merry Wives of Windsor. Well, this seems to have been written in a hurry, and the humour is very broad and frequently dependent upon a knowledge of archaic English words, matters and attitudes. Falstaff is purely a figure to be mocked. Seems a bit of an outlier so far!

Today, I finished reading "The Two Gentlemen of Verona". A very early Shakespeare play, possibly the earliest. An easy read (relatively), and it even made me smile. Overall conclusion: Love Island vibes. Silly young men being silly.
