I owned an Xtracycle cargo bike conversion, so I'm used to getting questions about my bicycle. That was good preparation for owning an electric bike, and a weird-looking one at that. People are truly curious and I am happy to answer questions as I did at the grocery store just now. 🚲🔌

As I was leaving the neighborhood grocery store, the cashier told me to have a good day, but then the bagger looked at her and told me to have a GREAT day, so something is clearly going on between the two of them.

One of the cool things about my job is that I get to teach a class in the visual and performing arts program, so students invite me to their senior shows and performances. This was a nice way to end a workweek in which the bad news kept on coming.

I felt guilty for spending $30 today at the plant nursery in this economy, but the couple in front of me at the register spent $1,500, thereby providing helpful context.

Azalea season is mostly over in Savannah, but my late-blooming camelia is just getting its party started. 🌱
