Transit and cimate should not have to compete for tiny amounts of funding, a few hundred million $, while the NJ spends $11 billion on an unnecessary highway expansion. True, the highways are toll funded, but that money can be moved to NJ Transit. Here's a gift link: www.nj.com/mercer/2025/...

New Jersey: We know there’s a lot going on in the world, and we are here to give you an update! Join me and Rep. Menendez on Monday night at 5:30pm for a tele-townhall answering your questions on immigration, the federal government, and more. Call in at 833-998-0897

We've heard from constituents concerned w/ what’s happening in DC. That’s why I hope you’ll join me & @replamonica.bsky.social for a Tele-Town Hall on Mon., Feb. 24 at 5:30 PM. We want to hear from you & help make sense of all the news & the impact on our communities. Dial in at (833) 998-0897!

That's awful. Four gas power plants in four square miles in Newark further concentrates pollution in the most over-polluted part of the state. Newark, and New Jersey, deserves better.

Awesome in-person get-together of transit advocates this week in Jersey City to talk strategy. Thank you for joining us and advocating for a better, safer and more sustainable JC @katiebrennan.bsky.social

Thank you Mayor Bhalla for your strong and thoughtful support of transit in New Jersey! The PATH is a critical service in Hudson County and it deserves the attention to truly serve the needs of our community with frequent service.

Another great day signing up people to our petition for better PATH service on weekends! @eleanalittle.bsky.social 20-minute waits between trains at Exchange Place are agonizing, especially when it's not synchronized with the HBLRT schedule.

Governor Murphy's obsession with congestion pricing ignores our own lack of prioritization of transit. There is plenty of money: 1. Cancel the $10.7B I-78 Turnpike widening and fund transit instead. 2. Don't steal the Corporate Transit Fee for the general budget. nyc.streetsblog.org/2025/01/29/p...

Incredible turnout this morning to the Liberty State Park Open House! This project is so vital to the health and natural environment of Jersey City and Northeast NJ. We have to get it right, and the plans so far look excellent. 🙏

With congestion pricing now live, a poignant reminder that driving into lower Manhattan is completely missing the point of New York.

Congestion tolls fund transit improvements that make it easier, faster and more convenient to take transit. What a great map!

To NJ residents waking up to the new NYC congestion tolls... remember, the Turnpike Authority increased tolls by 30% in Sept. 2020, and continues to hike tolls yearly. There's your tax on working-class commuters. At least the congestion charge tolls go into improving transit.

Yes. Simple solution to record low vacancy: build more homes. New construction relieves the pressure on other parts of the city and keeps other neighborhoods more affordable. Jersey City is doing its part, now other transit-rich parts of NJ and NY need to build more homes too.

The @nytransitmuseum.bsky.social holiday historical trains are amaaazing! What a fun way to spend an afternoon! Thank you for all the volunteers who make this possible

Last week I joined @eaconner.bsky.social, @talyaschwartz.bsky.social, Stephanie Martinez and other transit advocates from @hudcostreets.org at the Port Authority 2025 budget hearings to advocate for improved PATH train service - trains every 5 minutes, and an extension to Newark Airport!

20-40min waits for PATH trains?😡 The @panynj.bsky.social seeks public input for their 2025 budget! Demand increased off-peak service & Newark Airport extension. Submit written comments by Dec 9 and attend a public hearing! actionnetwork.org/letters/port... #PATH #NJTRANSIT #PORTAUTHORITYNYNJ

Right on! 20+ minute waits between trains on weekends and even in the middle of a weekday are outrageous. And why doesn't it run to Newark Airport - it ends just 3 miles away! We can do much better. I sent a letter to the Port Authority - let's get the PATH the attention and investment it needs!

For my first post, I'm sharing an image that deeply inspires me: the final image taken by the Voyager 1 spacecraft as it left our solar system. Earth is the tiny blue dot in the lower-right. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pale_Bl... We have just one Earth. We must do everything in our power to protect it.
