The law of the universe is that, the second I declare I don't need to drink any more tea today, my order of 2 new teas arrives in the post. Kettle's back on! #teasipper #writer

Happy Monday, BS! Today we're fighting the ongoing gloom with yellow ink & Jane Austen tea. #writer #writingcommunity

When I finally publish my NF about being the head of a big, messy family, it's okay to have one chapter in the middle titled, "Everyone Sucks Here; I'm Out", right? Right?!? Because right now, being everyone's anchor is *hard*.

The scene - and my team - is cooling down for the day (I got a little over 1k words in all), so the next burning question is, what color ink do I use tomorrow? #writer

Me: This scene is flowing so nicely! My focus is unreal! The dark recesses of my brain: 🎺 Oh, you cannae shove yer Granny aff a bus. No, you cannae shove yer Granny aff a bus. Oh, ye cannae shove yer Granny, cuz she's yet Mammy's Mammy. You cannae shove yer Granny aff a bus 🎺 #writer #sendhelp

Why will I never swear off buying journals (besides the fact that I hand-write my manuscripts)? Because I know me, and the journal-making industry knows me. #writer #writingcommunity

I'm not saying that binge watching the Greatest American Hero is going to make me feel better. What I'm saying is I should let the curly-haired high school teacher give it a shot. If nothing else, the theme song is catchy.

When folks peruse my posts about teaching Niece at home, I get some...DMs. (This is another reason why I don't respond to DMs) No, I'm not a radical unschooler. No, I'm not teaching religion or even rudimentary theology. I'm picking up the pieces my RU sister left behind in her wake.

Spent most of the day buying groceries & other provisions, & immediately began cleaning the utility room/pantry once I got home, because I knew if I sat down that would be the end. I'm not finished yet, but the end is tapping on my shoulder anyway.

Books were not on the shopping list today. So, does anyone wanna explain how I managed to buy $50 worth of books before literally anything else? #Booksky #writer

Feeling cute. Might bitch about the weather today idk. It's a trip into town today, so y'all keep me company with an #AMA. #writer

Have I started writing today? No! But I did make my bed, and that's something 🤣 #writer

I had another 1k day! Now I need to head back into the house, get the laundry done, and enjoy some cross stitching & binge watching with Hubs. Bbbuuuuutttt it has begun to rain. Again. And I don't want to get soaked. #writer

When the morning is bleak, and the temperature low, one's only choice is to scrounge up a skosh of vibrancy. Today's #writing is brought to you by the color orange.

There's a 16-year age gap between Baby Sister & I, but that doesn't stop us from doing cool things like mashing up "legit" & "literal" to get "legiteral". It's legiterally the cutest thing ever.

Well, I had a 1k-word day (haven't written a thousand words at once in some time), and I got our garden mapped & the list made for that. Oh, & tidied my office. Amazing what can happen when people leave me alone lol! #writer

I miss living in the city. This was supposed to be more peaceful, less crime, better neighbors. Cleaner air. 18 months in, I'm still not seeing it - AND I have to drive half an hour for a decent frappe.

A chill is back in the air. The heat's on, the kettle's on, & I have just enough cleaning & writing to do to keep me toasty.

I got some words committed to paper, worked on maths lessons with Niece, then made some balsamic vinaigrette & a (hopefully) nice giardiniera. Tomorrow thru Saturday is now flooded with things to do. Would it be wrong to call out sick from life Sunday, so I can #write?
