Folks enjoy stroking their own ego whenever they think they understand how clever the artist is. If the artist shows the “answer”, they don’t get the dopamine hit of teasing something out of the piece. They’ve chosen to wall themselves into puzzle boxes instead of engaging with the form.

The funny thing about this is that creatives viscerally feel the dissonance of not being capable of realizing, or simply not wanting to realize, an artistic vision. I think the folks in this camp of not wanting to learn, not wanting to create also do not feel deeply compelled to break their stasis.

Switched to Codeberg, now I am happy to vouch for it. So far, a great alternative to Github. Codeberg pages works great, and commits light up little calendar boxes. All I could ever need. Going to host my new blog here and use it for programming projects and any open source games.
