first time seeing Gold Line on Transit app!

I can’t pinpoint why but this feels wrong?

snowy quiet saturday bus ride vibe perfect for an end-to-end ride on route 11

Our LCD realtime signs now show the logo of service providers including the red T logo for METRO Orange Line. Maybe small but noticeable improvements.

D-64! coming soon to east metro 🚍🔜

@alonlevy.bsky.social got a shoutout from our all-hands staff meeting today regarding his work on transit projects cost! (hopefully) we’re paying attention to global best practices!

cheers to your bravery in smoking pot on the skyway this wednesday morning at 9am. downtown, we’re so back.

on a cold day like today, knowing when a bus pulls out of the garage helps for my “garage-to-home” door-to-door express needs :)

uh oh

Great #trbam research from @nwurban.bsky.social on the safety and comfort of shared bike/bus stop platforms in Portland. Findings - low conflicts, bicyclists slowed in the presence of buses and people, people generally managing interactions even when not strictly following design intent.

Some of us from Metro Transit snuck out of #TRBAM and got a great tour of WMATA’s brand new integrated control center (MICC) this afternoon. Always great to share knowledge and experiences between agencies. We’re impressed! We’ll bring the lessons back to MN.

what irks transit riders the most? some insights on rider satisfaction/dissatisfaction and an attempt at disentangling it. #TRBAM #TRBAM2025

AP010 Transit Mgmt and Performance Committee is under way. Hearing about performance measures used in outsourcing transit operations. Large recent increase in outsourcing coming from small agencies. Check out TCRP Synthesis 171 if interested! #TRBAM #TRBAM2025

transportation nerd prom week is here #TRBAM #TRB2025

Back on WMATA, this time with an active ATO on the Red Line. It’d be nice to have something like this on our LRT platforms where the 2-car train ends, too.

back on the NEC 🚄

getting some inspiration for our transit store (hopefully)

got a tour of the rail car shop at 69th St

some morning rail action in philly

adding one more to my collection, and of course, Silverliner V..

TIL: Surprised to see hospitality charge added to my dinner bill at the airport, but apparently for the businesses where the price is regulated by the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) the “junk fee ban” law doesn’t kick in until June 1, 2025. 🤔😐🫠

East Hennepin is BRT ready. Part-time bus lane here looks to be working “okay” here.

After six weeks of “work hiatus/parental leave” I’m back at work today, meaning more transit-related postings and engagements here. Good to be back on the bus!

Seoul is eliminating a transit mall in a busy commercial/university area, quoting increased commercial activities since the city ran a 2-year experiment of the temporary suspension of the transit mall. Sales are up since the cars are back on the street, and now cars are back permanently.
