Agree.

Well shit… Knicks showing some pride.

Knicks bench (+ KAT) showing some pride. Someone was bound to.

I think one of the most distressing things about these performances is that the Knicks come out on their heels while these other teams come charging out. Extremely tentative, uncertain, just no aggression or confidence.

Starting to feel like Groundhog Day when the Knicks play these top teams. Time to try the ole’ toaster in the bathtub.

Whadayaknow… They let KAT switch onto Tatum and it worked. Huh.

“Sunday will be not just a test of the talent, but a test of the character” On a brutal night, @djacenba.bsky.social perfectly summed up the wreckage

Well, the Knicks accomplished something tonight: they got me to send out my first ever 10pm Friday night edition of the KFS Newsletter. Strap on your party hats. knicksfilmschool.substack.com/p/throwing-i...

Unequivocally, the premier ass-kicking of the Thibodeau era.

Knicks came out in the 3rd quarter like a team that made a wrong turn looking for the bus to the airport.

Narrator: it did not kick in.

Don’t really want to hear that Cleveland is hot. Great offenses tend to get hot when they have nothing to fear.

That was a statement 1st quarter for the Cavs, telling anyone who needed to hear it that the Knicks are not on their level, and aren’t really close. Curious if any pride kicks in, because that was as embarrassing as anything Boston or OKC did to New York in earlier beatdowns. Also, Brunson rocks.

Again.

In a completely unserious defensive game from both teams, Mikal Bridges makes maybe the individual defensive play of the season, blocking Vooch under the hoop to force overtime.

Nice defensive stretch from Bridges, McBride and the bench to start the 4th, and these buckets from Mikal and Shamet have been huge with both Brunson and KAT sitting.

And now he’s just scoring every time. 8-for-8 start to the 3rd. Unlike any player in the NBA.

KAT has made some nice offensive plays here in the 3rd, including a beautiful coast to coast dunk, but his defensive performance tonight remains as perplexing as anything we’ve seen this season, which is saying a lot.

If my accounting is correct, the Knicks had one stretch where they shot 9-for-11 from the field and were 9-for-44 the rest of the half.

1H: Knicks 50, Bulls 43 For as gnarly as the first half was, *really* good stuff from Deuce McBride, especially on D. Good minutes also from Huk and Precious. Brunson doing his thing. NY did well to overcome maybe the worst half of KAT’s Knick career and some rough shooting from Bridges as well.

The Knicks have started to play something resembling NBA basketball.

KAT was 1-for-10 from the field in the first quarter and his defense was somehow worse than his offense. Knicks sloppy in general and very lucky to be down 2 to Chicago. Nice Hukporti minutes though.

There was so much talk by KAT-haters about how he wouldn’t be able to handle the NY spotlight and the scrutiny of the NY media. Glad to see him thriving and receiving well-deserved praise.

I wrote about Karl-Anthony Towns at the break, his place among the lineage of great Knicks centers (yes, already), and what are his keys to climbing even higher on the ladder. open.substack.com/pub/knicksfi...

Yes.

Cam Payne, man…what a freaking signing on the minimum.

Come hang out folks.

When KAT gets on a roll offensively, it is truly something to behold.

Gutty 3rd quarter for the Knicks, led by the gutsiest guy of them all, Josh Hart. Increased the lead by one despite Brunson missing eight and a half minutes. Gotta defend here in the 4th. Figured some stuff out but have to maintain.
