In this world of toxic news, I’m grateful for Australia’s @insidestory.bsky.social publication. And that they keep taking my pieces. insidestory.org.au/im-most-usef...

Late afternoon on the Ottawa River.

I'm delighted to see a new book on the Rae government, by @stevenhigh.bsky.social and @btlbooks.com As High observes, the Ontario NDP engages in "selective amnesia" by erasing this period from its history.

Every university program is convinced it's carrying the rest of the university, either as a cash cow or a prestigious loss leader.

Obligatory pundit post on the very non-obligatory Ontario election. open.substack.com/pub/jonathan...

Canadian universities look pretty similar across the country, but this illustration by @caut.bsky.social illustrates the profound variation in where they get their money. www.caut.ca/bulletin/202...

My last name is Irish, but much of my heritage is Mennonite. Today is the 500th anniversary of the first Anabaptist adult baptisms (mwc-cmm.org/en/stories/h...). And it reminds me of my own.. 🧵

A @hilltimes.com story by Ian Campbell quoting me: having now gone through a second painful struggle this century to remove its leader with no means to do so, I have a feeling the Liberal Party will learn absolutely nothing from the experience. www.hilltimes.com/story/2025/0...

The annual call for nominations for the CPSA board is open. We are looking for a vice-president, two regular board members, a Practitioner Representative, and a Student Representative. Click below, and contact me or any of the nominating committee members below for more information!

The prorogation of Parliament to accommodate our new national governing document, the Liberal Party constitution, demonstrates that party democracy and parliamentary democracy are not necessarily compatible. jonathanmalloy.substack.com/p/parliament...
