Saw an early contender for the LinkedIn hall of fame today where someone was pondering the question of why AI couldn’t combat the LA wildfires with robot firefighters, posted with several AI generated videos of LA on fire for “demonstration purposes”

Merry Christmas from the Chicken Fruit team: art director Jonny, producer Lindsey, and our lonely laundry-loving Tabitha 🎄🧣🧤 Whatever you’re up to this week, we hope you have a good one! Lots of love 💜

Sepia skies makes me feel like I’m in a flashback.

Elements from our first project using Forger + the final image 🍂 We sculpted these, painted over them in Procreate, and streamed the whole process on Twitch. Two firsts (the sculpting and the streaming) and one Very Not First (painstakingly painting over 3D objects) 😅

Sorry but if I found out someone id been emailing was using chatGPT or having an AI re-word their emails to be a different tone like all the Apple ads want, I’d be so… sad?? You couldn’t talk to me with your own words? You think I’d care that your email sounded more professional?? Who are you???

There is art inspo everywhere for those with eyes to see 🐿️

One thing I miss about being a regular freelance motion designer is watching TV and going “I did that!”. The only thing I ever see on TV still that I made was all the !mpossible graphics.

So interesting seeing motion design studios doing promo films for GenAI companies. Like, whose industry do you think these companies are coming for??

Yeah man this is like my eighth rodeo. I'm just really stupid

Creators made their work ‘publicly available’ online, for free, because they were told for years that it would get them ‘exposure’. The claim that this gives AI companies permission to use that work to build highly scalable competitors to them is absurd.

Hi everyone! Do y’all know any small businesses that make art supplies? Like ceramic palettes, paper, handmade pens/brushes, pigments, etc? I’m looking to feature products from small brands in upcoming videos!

BlueSky feels like a place I can say that Ghostbusters (2016) was a fun film.

I regularly put Eli’s music on while I’m drawing and it’s perfect vibes every time. Go grab some new music!

Wanted to put a movie on that I’d seen before while I did another evening task but stupidly I put on Ratatouille and no task got done because Ratatouille is a perfect film 😭

Got up early (ish) for a frosty stomp around Hampstead and thought the comp artist went a bit hard on these shots

I know my reach is very limited here but are there any fellow motion designers or designers in general from Devon/Cornwall on here? I'm sharing an office with the wonderfully talented @simonfarussell.bsky.social, @haxiomic.bsky.social and @callumcannarella.bsky.social down/up in Plymouth!

There's something I need people to understand. The studio that made this released some numbers. They had to produce 85 minutes of footage to find 15 usable seconds for this ad. The machine that creates moving images out of nothing has a failure rate of 340:1 and the best 15 seconds... is this.
