There should be a headline and story like this in EVERY American newspaper.

A group in San Diego is patrolling neighborhoods to identify potential ICE presence. They keep watch for vehicles that may belong to federal agencies, and use livestreams, radios, and social media to keep communities informed. boltsmag.org/how-vol...

Before the cops in LA started escalating things for no reason it was funny how my main takeaway was how much people were looking out for each other in really helpful ways. I’ve never seen so many people with carts giving away free water, sunscreen, snacks, and masks to total strangers.

Culver City was joyous too.

I would like my state, every state, to mandate badges, name plates, no masks, for all law enforcement in the state. And if federal agents try to break the mandate, arrest them, then let the courts sort it out.

“These children are truly alone. They have no one to speak for them,” said Director of Legal Services Marion Donovan-Kaloust. The Trump admin is detaining unaccompanied kids longer, targeting their caregivers, and stripping them of legal protections. This is an attack on children. 🔗 bit.ly/3FvImSL

Sen. Brian Schatz: "This is the stuff of dictatorships [... Noem] was there and delivering her remarks within earshot the whole time. She has command authority over those agents who are arresting a leader in the legislative branch."

Sen. Padilla faces down cowardly fascists who don't want to listen to his questions.

CBP Confirms It Is Flying Predator Drones Above Los Angeles To Support ICE 🔗 www.404media.co/cbp-confirms...

Our partners at @capitalandmain.bsky.social have been out on the streets and in the line of fire in Los Angeles. Reporter Jeremy Lindenfeld was personally hit by a tear gas cannister, a foam baton round, multiple pepper balls, and more. We have video: prospect.org/politics/202...

We feed you. They hunt us.

Doechii the queen.

Trump treats our troops like crap.

Martin Phillip Fjellanger Let this man go viral Los Angeles

I’m from Los Angeles, live in Los Angeles right now, am Latina, am a protest & free speech lawyer. It’s deeply personal for me what’s happening here. Working nonstop, trying not to get sick. What do ppl need? We’re working on trainings, legal support, resources, space for our community to process.

I don't care if these monstrous ICE raids are a "federal operation". This is authoritarian violence, plain and simple. Just because Stephen Miller has kidnapping quotas for brown people he doesn't want to see on the street doesn't mean we have to think it's okay.

Fascism 2025!

Huge win just to get him out of there. The charges are of course ludicrous. Keep the pressure on this lawless admin @mddems.bsky.social

Migrant Insider asked whether the masked ICE officials who had accosted LaMonica McIver and a Nadler staffer had been identified. Jeffries replied that every single one of them — no matter what it takes, no matter how long it takes — would be identified, noting that the US was not the Soviet Union.

They're arresting immigrants at a federal building and taking them to the basement. "A couple and their two children, one of whom is a U.S. citizen, spent the night in a room with no beds and limited access to food and water." www.cbsnews.com/news/immigra...

The year of our lord 2025 started with a rabid Musk-Trump supporter self-immolating himself in a Cybertruck parked in front of a Trump casino, trying to send us all a message.

Marcelo is free, finally. Stephen Miller is detaining bright, accomplished young people that are beloved by their communities—everything he’s not.

"I propose an alternate strategy: I shall fight Secretary of Education Linda E. McMahon in a televised cage match, the winner of which gets $2.7 billion in federal grants and the power to uphold or destroy America’s continued technological and economic success." www.thecrimson.com/article/2025...

As Baldwin said, and Springsteen repeats here: "In this world, there isn't as much humanity as one would like, but there's enough." That is not a statement of naive hope, but rather of the responsibility of everyone to stand up for America's promise in a dark time. 1/

No doubt after watching that commencement speech @nytimes.com is queuing up the op eds from David Brooks, Brett Stephens, Ross Douthat, Ivanka Trump, and a laundry list of Republicans all calling loudly for Trump to step down due to his obvious mental decline.

Indiana-Oklahoma City will be the first NBA Finals where you can't legally bring a James Baldwin book to any of the games.

The GOP tax bill makes the super-rich super-richer while robbing the working-class majority blind. Democrats are wide awake and standing unified to fight this historic ripoff.

I said it would get worse very quickly. By tomorrow we will have completed the most dangerous & frightening 24 hours thus far of Trump 2.0. Just to name a few: 1. Defiance of a court order by sending migrants to Sudan without due process (despite clear DP decision SCOTUS) & Dist. CT. order.

2026 'Murica: Hank Jones drinks his coffee flavored water in the parking lot of an abandoned Coffee Bean. "I miss Joe Biden", the 76 year old independent says as he makes his way over to the last Walmart in 100 miles to spend his Trumpcoins on hydroxychloroquine. "But I am glad we got rid of woke."

"Lots of Democrats used this as a chance to suggest that Trump is suffering from dementia or some other ravages of aging. This barely closeted ableism or attempt to even the score for endless fixation on Joe Biden is part of the left’s favorite habit: Underestimating Donald Trump."

Van Hollen: "Trump's visit to the Middle East- my view is the narrative here was selling out US national interests for the private gain of his business. He essentially gave away the crown jewels of US AI and semiconductor tech to the gulf in exchange for a $2b investment in his stablecoin venture"
