Maine’s Gov. Mills: “See you in court.” Trump called her out over the trans athletes ban and threatened to withhold funding, she said she will follow the law. More: thehill.com/homenews/lgb...

The recently discovered, much-hyped Asteroid 2024 YR4 now has almost zero chance of hitting Earth in 2032, according to the latest astronomical observations.

NGC 2175 in Orion, open cluster embedded in a diffusion nebula, Its referred to as the “monkey head nebula”, I kinda see it now, this was about a half hour picture thru a Seestar S50, very cold last night, but comfortable watching the image develop inside a warm house! #astronomy #astrophotoghaphy

Another Caldwell object from warmer times, C63 was much bigger than expected, I still want to delete the frames with those darn starlink satellites. #Seestar #Astronomy #Astrophotography

I have an interest with the Caldwell objects, so today is Caldwell 5, an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation Camelopardalis. Despite its size and actual brightness, its location behind dusty areas near the galactic equator makes it difficult to observe"The Hidden Galaxy", #astronomy

bsky.app/profile/dazz... I often come back to this post from Darren and it's always a good reminder. If you see something special repost it! Spread the love and help your peers grow! There's so much great work to be discovered here on Bluesky. #photography #astrophotography

Absolutely amazing that I can get set up in under 10 minutes, and shoot a picture in under an hour, this is M33 with quite a few satellites buzzing around 20 minutes with a Seestar S50 #astronomy #astrophotography

Feeling alarmed by today's armageddon headlines? 🗞️"NASA makes 'emergency' decision as chances of 'city-destroying' asteroid hitting Earth rise to 1-in-43" It's since dropped to a 1-in-48 chance & the🚨decision was just to use JWST to collect more data🤞🔭🧪 ℹ️: cneos.jpl.nasa.gov/sentry/detai...

NGC 2244 Satellité Cluster, So many stars in such a small amount of space. Photo was one and a quarter hours through a Seestar S50 #Astronomy

Here's the link to enter pictures in the Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition. Closing date 3 March 2025. 🔭 🧪 #astrophotography www.rmg.co.uk/whats-on/ast...

The great Orion Nebula, through the Seestar S50, about 1 hour using the wide angle option, and in app denoising. @bot.astronomy.blue signup

A wintertime favorite! Seestar S50 about 1/2 an hour #astrophotography

US Capitol Switchboard: 202-224-2131 The switchboard will transfer you to your rep regardless of your district. It may be busy. Keep calling.

Now that it's leaving us, disintegrating like cosmic dust, it's worth taking a look at what I consider one of the best images of comet C/2024 G3 (ATLAS), captured on January 22 by Phil Hart from Ballarat, Victoria, Australia

A wide angle shot of M42 with the Seestar S50. 45 minutes.

A winter time favorite cluster with some reflection nebula. Took this with a Seestar S 50 for a little over an hour almost anybody can take these pictures with this scope. Enjoy.

Lots of cool things to see up there!

The seven sisters

An edge on galaxy with billions of stars, surrounded by thousands of stars in our own galaxy. We are truly very insignificant in the scheme of things.
