So, got my Switch 2 fully set up, and everything downloaded/transferred while at work. Now it's time to do the two most important things: 1: Play some Switch 1 games that had bad loading times and see if they are smoother 2: Replay the opening movie of Soul Calibur 2.

The state's monopoly on force is not men with guns, it's the social sanction of everyone else either accepting or not that they are legitimate. And nothing crystalizes that reality like a dozen tactical gear dorks retreating from a couple hundred civvies with smartphones chanting "shame" at them.

When you are in the middle of a conflict, big or small, you will almost always do things that are not nice. But it is still important to not do non-nice things just to be an asshole. Every planned, non-spontaneous action needs a stated goal, a true purpouse behind it, to achieve something positive.

Assuming this person eats fruit and veggies at all (odds are not great on that), I think it is safe to guess that this person regularly buys bananas or other produce that are always or almost always imported... ...and would not be able to spot the cognitive dissonance if you pointed it out to him.

Not much to add to this, except noting that the kind of people who think we should be spending every waking hour trying to earn money (i.e. live to work), are also the very same people that will berate freelancers of any kind for having the audacity of trying to earn money.
