Lesson of the day no matter how long you’ve been doing something is always remember to periodically SAVE. I was in a flow state while illustrating. Finally happy with the finished result. Went to go save the file and Adobe Illustrator crashed. #thoughts and #prayers

There is a free informational webinar today about the lawsuit trying to end Section 504. To better understand the law and the lawsuit, this thread will offer some context.

Cooking should be fun, not a struggle. That’s why I’ve been working on Kitchen Cloud—an AI-powered app designed to make meal planning effortless. We’re still in the early stages, but if you’re curious, follow along: @kitchencloud.bsky.social #designsky #ai #joinUsInTheKitchen

Heading into the weekend, take a moment to slow down, breathe, and be present. Mindfulness helps us recharge and reset—give yourself that space. #mindfulness

#Deepseek AI has my attention, but I’m still weighing the risks. The open-weight approach is interesting, but questions around training data, bias, and real-world impact remain. If you’ve used it, what’s your take? Is it delivering on its promise? #AI #tech

Accessibility drives innovation. Think captions, curb cuts, and screen readers—they started as accessibility tools and became everyday essentials. #designsky #accessibility

There aren’t enough space heaters in my garage to make it warm enough to work in today. #cold

Went to a local video game shop today because it’s been a while since I’ve seen the sun. Managed to not find one, but two titles that I’ve been hunting for. Case, disc and manual all intact and in excellent condition at reasonable prices. #lucky #retroGaming

Listening to #NIN Downward Spiral while pushing the pixels today seems fitting, given the state of things.

Ready for some action-packed anime? It all starts in one hour on #Toonami.

Designers, dedicate the first and best hours of your day to yourself. Too often, I see designers putting themselves last, giving their side projects only the leftover energy after a full day of work. Begin each day by working on your dream. This small commitment will transform your life.

I’ve officially reached the point where my TBR pile required a full reading program in Notion to manage. On one hand, I feel accomplished. On the other, I’m a little bitter there’s no personal pan pizza reward for this kind of effort. #ReadingIsFundamental #Pizza

David Lynch, the visionary filmmaker behind Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet, and Eraserhead, has passed away at 78. In 2024, he shared his struggle with emphysema. His boundless creativity and surreal storytelling reshaped cinema forever. Rest in peace to a true icon.

Routines build momentum, turning small actions into big wins over time. But it’s wild how easily one hiccup can knock them off track. Give yourself space to reset and start again. It’s not about never falling—it’s about always getting back up.

Welp the snow came and went. Unfortunately after 2 years of promising a winter in the mountains, none of the snow stuck to the ground. #bummer #globalWarming

Did anyone else have trouble following “Neuromancer” by William Gibson? I’m curious if all of the media/ideas spawned from this book that I’ve previously consumed is affecting or negatively informing my experience reading it. #cyberpunk #readingIsFundamental

Richard Brody on why DVD owners shouldn’t throw out their collections just yet.

Spending the tail end of my 2024 working through my to-be-read stack of books. Currently reading the “Somewhere Out There: My Animated Life” from Don Bluth. I could use the distraction. #IdRatherBeReading #animation

As always, this is insightful and couldn’t have arrived at a better time. Every designer in the industry is feeling the effects of a rolling change. I’m looking forward to 2025 and will remain hopeful for the practice/discipline I love so much. | trends.uxdesign.cc

I get the fact you that some books about history and industrial design are somewhat pricey. An author should be compensated for their effort and aim aware publishers and resellers are likely to markup a price. When a ten year old book is selling for $432 - $2566 USD, there’s a problem.

My own set of daily affirmations has evolved over the years. I’m reminded with the new year around the corner how fortunate I am and I’m surrounded by my loved one’s. #thankful

Just finished a phone screen with my first AI. Feels a bit weird. Don’t know what else to say. #openToWork #jobHuntingStories

Is anyone in the market for a senior product designer? I’m currently looking for my next opportunity and I love solving a good problem with design. #openToWork #productDesign

Let’s shake it up, #recruiters. Generic rejections are boring! I’m a problem solver by nature and a designer by choice. Turn those responses into a murder mystery. Lay clues, traps, and puzzles. I may not get the job, but I’ll solve the case of Mrs. Havershim’s murder! #changeForTheBetter
