A few months ago when planning our trip to London that we depart for tonight, we had a choice between similar flights to Heathrow and Gatwick. We ended up choosing Gatwick because I wanted to experience the National Rail service. (And the price was slightly better). Boy did we make the right call.

As much as everything thus far has been terrifying and may take decades or longer to repair (if repairable at all), I fear we have only scratched the surface on how far the damage will go and that by the end of this, if there is an end of this, the damage to this country may be irreparable.
