Readers will note that YBaB has more sensory description than possibly any of my other work ever will and that's definitely because the details in YBaB were born of uncomfortable sensory realities.

90% of writing a book is just having the courage to look at how bad your draft is and staying there at the desk trying to fix it instead of running away.

Do I...do I not like writing sensory things in my books because I'm a sensory avoider 😳.

Ugh, I love Nynaeve.

Eeeee! Thank you so much, @cblansdell.bsky.social !!!!

I loved TETK and so did C B Lansdell πŸ‘€. Check out the thorough review 😁.

Hey, artists, in case you were wondering if your work matters: I'm a scientist working on climate change and biodiversity, and I would not be who I am today without The Lorax, The Secret of NIMH, Watership Down, The Last Unicorn, and The X-Files. I know I'm not alone. Thank you for all you do.

ahhhhh nearly there!!! πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ iykyk πŸ˜‰

Thank you for this, some of us are stuck putting kids to bed and are missing it 😭🀣. Sounds GREAT though!

I hated dragging my fatigued carcass to my classes today, but the sunset was a good reward for getting through it.

I feel like at this point this is kind of sad πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…. It must be because everyone I know is lovely and already has it on their to-read or read lists so we need to get this post out of my usual Bluesky orbit! I still need 9 more πŸ‘€. I don't mind if you have no intention of reading it for real 🀣.

Made some additions to the Fantasy Publishers Starter Pack: go.bsky.app/TG9eT9s

I've never been a flag waver. I'm conscious I'm a settler on Turtle Island. Then the convoy crowd co-opted it and ruined it for me. But the flag means something different to me now. I am so inspired at how Canadians have been coming together. Thank you, πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ friends, for your big maple energy. ❀️

My 7yo just told me that one of her friend's grade 8-age brother knows about DoT and I was like "this is the most far-fetched story I've ever heard" but then I remembered I have been shamelessly dropping copies in the little free libraries around here so it could be true HAHAHAHAHAHA

"Nice and mild, snow is melting. We made through winter!" - Me, every February, before we get slammed again through March

A premier stepping down because he doesn't want to deal with Trump 2.0. Wild stuff, but I can't say I blame him. "He wakes up one morning and says something, water, cars, tomorrow it’s going to be tuna, who knows? It’s just, that’s how erratic and confusing it is." He's going back to medicine!

This is up to 291! Lol please help πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ₯°

When I was young I used student acrylics because obviously 🀣, but I switched to artist acrylics maybe five years before I stopped painting and they are still in beautiful shape πŸ‘€. The amount of times I had student acrylics dry up or get lumpy πŸ˜‚πŸ˜.

I am most inspired by the long rectangle canvases and this one is my favourite shape but it's also huge so I'm likely setting myself up for failure.

I might do a painting πŸ‘€. I have the impulse and one of my stored canvases caught my eye in the basement yesterday while we were rearranging. And I saw the inspiration last night and took photos. Maybe...maybe I will.

Can I get 10 more people to add this to "to-read" on Goodreads? πŸ‘€ It has 290 "want to read"s and I'm doing a hardcover giveaway starting March 1 and 300 sounds like a pretty fancy milestone to hit before that... www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...

I find WoT show to be better than other recent fantasy adaptations... Am I just biased or does anyone agree???
