Exactly a year ago I finished my last session (number 28) of radiation therapy for my prostate cancer. A year later I'm taking serious drugs, and awaiting tests in December that will tell me how effective it was. It's not over yet but I like to note these anniversaries as a way of moving forward.

Watching Al Green (D-Texas) get thrown out of the House during that monster's speech (bravo @algreen.house.gov, btw) made me think the Dems should have done that again and again, one at a time, in order to disrupt that nightmare speech. John Lewis would have done it in a heartbeat.

My David Johansen memory is this: I got to see him in Columbus Ohio circa 1980 in a tiny club. Sylvain Sylvain was also there at that gig. I was right up front and sang along to "Girls..." with him as he shared the mic with the crowd. Amazing concert.
