Shai Gilgeous-Alexander without his team’s 3 best players (JDub, Chet, iHart) this season: +29.9 net rating, 997 possessions Nikola Jokic without his team’s 3 best players (Murray, MPJ, Gordon) this season: +4.7 net rating, 267 possessions Per CTG

Almost everyone in OKC’s rotation is shooting more 3s than they did last season. The most significant increases in 3PA/36: Shai: 3.8->6.1 Aaron Wiggins: 3.7->6.5 J Dub: 3.9->5.4 Joe: 8.8->10.4

Aaron Wiggins works so well together with Isaiah Hartenstein. Their games are just meant to fit together. Lineups that include Aaron Wiggins and Hartenstein on the court WITHOUT Shai have a +15.6 net rating in 300+ possessions. They need to play together even more than they have been.

If OKC plays only .500 basketball for the rest of the season, they would equal their win total of 57 from last year which put them number 1 in the West.

Shai with none of Chet, Hartenstein, or J Dub on the floor has a +27.4 net rating over 700+ possessions per CTG. Just preposterous stuff. You want to try to tell me he has some transcendent supporting cast with those dudes off the floor? He is the MVP man, just is.

Just rewatched the game last night and I’m pretty shocked to say that I think OKC’s offensive process, outside of a few forced Shai pull-up 3s, was mostly decent? They had several unforced uncharacteristic turnovers, but mostly the shots they generated were their usual shots.

Lol wtf is this Warriors lineup? GP2-Pat Spencer-Lindy Waters-Draymond-TJD

I’m “a Nebbiolo hates to see me coming” years old

Cason Wallace offense

Hartenstein on the short roll ❤️

OKC is getting legit hammered at the rim and zero calls, but still up 13. Could easily be 20 if a few of the really obvious plays got called.

OKC missed 10 free throws tonight. The last time they missed more than 10 free throws in a game was April 1, 2022. This was the starting lineup in that game.

God Cason Wallace blocking jump shots is so fun

Dillon Jones chasing around Buddy Hield, kill me

J DUB TAKEOVER ON BOTH ENDS

Really think OKC is going to hammer GSW by double digits tonight. They never got revenge after the Draymond comments, and those dudes were prancing around OKC’s home court a couple weeks ago after Chet got injured. Warriors were good earlier w/o Curry, but the Buddy Hield magic is over.

I know they played pretty well earlier in the season without Steph, but I’m pretty surprised GSW is only +4.5 tonight against OKC without Steph. Buddy Hield has come back to earth, so pretty hard to figure where their offense will be coming from.

Brice Sensabaugh stinks man. Not an NBA player.

Spo has figured out that shockingly, doubling Dame is pretty effective in a game when Giannis is out 😲

I’ll get over it if they eventually win a title, but until then I’m not going to get over Presti punting on a contender level team last season in the name of “seeing what it looks like in the playoffs” for a guy not in the core 3, a guy whose playoffs went exactly how anyone who knows ball expected.

OKC could really use a Jazz win over the Spurs tonight in The Cup. If that happens, OKC controls its destiny in the group regardless of other results.

Great stuff in here from Slater. Confirms what we all probably knew by now, that a big part of the plan includes iHart and Chet playing together.

I know everyone awarded Jokic the MVP after 10 games, but there’s a legitimate argument that Shai has already caught him in the race. The season EPM margin is already razor thin, and Jokic missed 3 games. Shai has taken a much more injured team to the 1 seed, while Denver is 8th.

Ajay Mitchell has played 199 non-garbage time possessions with SGA this season. OKC has a +34.7(!) net rating in those minutes. He hasn’t gotten tons of counting stats yet, but Ajay’s shooting splits on the season are 53/50/82.

Kenrich had an amazing game and *still* only saw 15 minutes. Hopefully he gets at least that many every night going forward.

The Brooklyn Nets are a 2019-20 OKC-ass team, down to the Dennis Schroder of it all.

Warriors about to lose to the Nets who are in a road SEGABABA, lmao

HOLY SHIT IHART TO DUB OMG

Man I love Ajay Mitchell so much

Kenrich my god what a pass to Ajay

What is Malik Monk complaining about lol? He hacked him right on the arm

Dillon Jones before Kenrich again I’m going to lose my mind

Almost 8 minutes straight with the starters to begin the game. Can’t remember the last time Mark did that

The Hartenstein release valve floater is such a beautiful thing

Zach 3dey

You’re not going to see me celebrating Inside the NBA sticking around. They are great in their own way, but I just don’t believe it’s completely necessary to their appeal that they constantly shit on the product and brag about not watching games. You can be funny and irreverent without that shit!
