♻️ Cardboard recycling day involves triaging boxes before I flatten ANY of them... - Garbage (oil stains, water damage, wax coating) - Recycling (weak/torn, odd logos/tape) - Good keeper (stackable, but not too large or small) - GREAT keeper (heavy duty) I do love keeping/reusing a GREAT box. πŸ“¦

Spanish progress! Day 64. Score 20. I can ask for up to 29 beers or wines. I can also tell you I am late because I was writing an email on my computer. πŸ˜† 🍺🍷 β°πŸ’»

PSA: Many Internet companies increase customer rates EVERY YEAR. Instant profit. πŸ’° If this happens to you, take action! Every time I call my ISP after rate increase, I consistently lower my Internet rate to $30-40/mo. Use new customer rates and competition rates to negotiate/ restore a fair rate.

RANT: Our last few dishwashers were only "dish sanitizers" due to consumer appliance efficiency requirements. We now scrub our dishes, the machine sanitizes and drys them using "rinse aid", then we dry the plastics. Energy efficient is great, but the time and water we waste is an embarrassment.

10 years ago I liked to update locations and wifi speeds on the #WorkFrom remote work map. Now that wifi and data are ubiquitous, that map feels irrelevant. These days I update EV charger locations and speeds on the #PlugShare map. Hoping 10 years from now EV chargers will also be ubiquitous!

If an app requests access to my contacts, the app better have a solid privacy policy, great reputation, and a good reason to access my contacts. Latest offender: T-Mobile ... I am thankful for your $20/mo backup 5G internet, but I cannot think of any good reasons for you to access my contacts!

Migrated from a Raspberry Pi 3 to a much faster Pi 5. Love that this low-energy workhorse can easily handle my various home services. I didn't migrate Pi-Hole history. Ended up with this nice visual of devices transitioning DNS requests from RP3 (top) to RP5 (bottom). #docker #pihole #homebridge

Why do all minimalist wallets have logos? Do these companies not understand their target market? Exhibit 1: "Super Minimalist & Slim: sizing 3.3" x 4.1" x 0.12" I do write PHP but I don't drive a lambo. I don't want to see this *****lambo logo every day! This would be perfect otherwise. Ugh.

I have personally deployed upstream PHP/JS package updates for our services EVERY FRIDAY afternoon since 2020. I am responsible for correcting issues during deploy and fixing bugs on Saturday morning. I implemented our CI/CD pipelines in 2020 and have been refining ever since. ❀️ #DeployEveryFriday

Our family loves to explore the outdoors. Favorite spots include local biking trails, hiking trails, rivers, and lakes.

I enjoy attending live sporting events. We have a great local minor league baseball team and several great college teams. I try to make the 3-4 hour drive to a pro baseball or soccer game each year. Related photos from the past few months...

I began bicycling in 2012. I completed my first 100 mile "century" ride in 2013. I still ride with a few people I met that year. Favorite past accomplishments include Bike MS 200 (2 centuries in 2 days), Bike MS 150, Bike MS 100 and Hotter Than Hell 100 (twice). Photos of a few recent rides...

I really enjoy playing pinball. We're fortunate to have several great local pinball halls. My wife and I have also visited the huge Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas.

Family soaking up some sun on the lake during spring break. Bear Lake Colorado. Elevation 9,450 feet (2,880 m).

Happy to be here! Refreshing to see a feed full of my interests.
