Next to a fire, along a (once) glacier-fed river running thru a glacier carved valley, under the stars & the moon. I don’t always love sleeping in a tent on the ground, wondering at 3am “What’s that noise? Bear? Cougar? Cryptid?” It’s just a means in service of this end. #photography #backpacking

Saw crows and gulls harassing a bald eagle this morning, followed on my bike until the eagle alit to eat whatever it had taken that the other birds were so angry about. Didn’t notice in the interim I’d knocked my aperture up and SS down, so suboptimal shots of an osprey dive-bombing. #photography
