Never thought of a theme for movies this month, so I've been catching up on the Mind & Body season of Evolution of Horror. Hoo boy, this subgenre goes places! Most recent viewings of note and a few thoughts. #movies #horror #psychologicalhorror #bodyhorror

Quote with a movie poster from the year you turned eighteen.

As amusing as the knowledge that Strom Thurmond is rolling over in his grave is, let's focus more on the fact that instead of filling the room with meaningless noise to take up time, @booker.senate.gov spent 25.25 hours speaking truth to power and giving voice to the People

TTRPGs for Trans Rights: Ohio is live on @itch.io! For as low as $5, get over $1700 worth of games, zines, digital accessories, and more! All proceeds benefit @kycohio.bsky.social and @transohio.bsky.social, two organizations doing important work for LGBTQ+ folks in Ohio! itch.io/b/2946/ttrpg...

I wanted to wrap up my month of exploring women-directed horror films with a romp and a celebration of International Transgender Day of Visibility! Over the last few days Squishmothra and I had a ton of fun with this set. Thoughts in comments! #movies #horror

A few more from my exploration of horror films directed by women: 12 Hour Shift (2020, Brea Grant), St Maud (2019, Rose Glass), and Piggy (2023, Carlota Martínez-Pereda). Wow. Squishmothra and I are still processing. Thoughts in comments! #movies #horror

We're coming to the end of the month. I have a handful of additional women-lead horror films to post about. For now, for the six of you reading this, what should my theme be next month?

Furthered my theme of horror movies directed by women this week with Jennifer's Body (2009, Karyn Kusama), Ravenous (1999, Antonia Bird), and, for some reason, Humanoids from the Deep (1980, Barbara Peeters & Jimmy T. Murakami). I wish I had watched them in reverse order. Squishmothra is perplexed.
