I just heard Bob Johnston on Being Catholic on the radio trying to talk about discrimination being good by using the definition “recognition and understanding of the difference between one thing and another.” He claimed he didn’t understand why people think that’s bad. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The devastation in California is apocalyptic. The images are heartbreaking. At least 5 fires continue to burn without containment. I’m grateful for the bravery of not only the first responders, but every day people who have been helping others, including animals, evacuate to safer locations.

I loved the eulogy written by Gerald Ford and delivered by Ford’s son, Steven for Jimmy Carter. I miss the politics of old, where political rivals disagreed but could still forge a friendship. They disagreed on policy but were united in their values. Hopefully in four years, we can return to that.
