Monster Hunter Wilds has that weird ability to make me JUST invested enough in the gameplay I keep going after the story. Usually, after finishing a 10+ hour narrative, I'm quite satisfied and stop, even in a huge open world. Now, I only want to fight Tempered Arkveld for the thousandth time.

Hey folks! My buds over at LTRT and I will be raising money for Trans Lifeline this weekend during our annual 24 hour stream. Streaming 24 of our favorite games from 2024. We will be awake and streaming in the middle of daylight savings, so that's going to be chaos. Tune in! Support if ya can!

Monster Hunter Wilds is a hybrid of World and Rise more than it is a daring sequel, but it's still a damn good Monster Hunter. Check out my review on @rollingstone.com ! www.rollingstone.com/culture/rs-g...

Media layoffs abound so to help out journalist pals who've been laid off/freelancers looking for more work , I'm going to do a monthly thread with the writing roles I've found! Here are some February finds. Will be updated as I find things. Reposts appreciated 💛

Hey all! I'm looking for more freelance work — guides, features, reviews, op-eds, etc. If you're looking for a seasoned writer, I can bring tons of experience covering: - Monster Hunter - Souls-likes - FPS's - Open-world - Gachas - Anything else that isn't fighting or sports Reposts appreciated!

I have another home for my various musings on video games (primarily guide-related, but also other things)! Find me on @destructoid.bsky.social. My first post comes courtesy of the Delta Force Operations extraction mode:

Intro time: I've been a full-time freelance writer for 3 1/2 years, with a portfolio of reporting, features, and crit for games and TV/film on some of the biggest publications around, copywriting, and mock reviews/consulting (with a highly accurate record of gauging markets and audience reactions)

I'm the lookout for more freelance work starting soon, so please keep me in mind for anything! I do it all - and quite well, or so my clients say. (Reposts appreciated) - Guides, reviews, news, features - Press releases - Consulting - Mock reviews - Basically anything you need that's not illegal

Hey @marioprime.bsky.social, is DigitalTrends looking for more freelancers now that the new year's arrived? I can send some pitches your way about guides/op-eds if there's space! Also, thoughts on Steve Austin's cat?

Hey @ressiejessie.bsky.social, so I may have discovered what it means to have too many HSR Relics. I laugh. And then I cry.

2025 is when I’m going to give my all to #freelance game guides, features, reviews, and more. If you’re looking for a writer for Souls-likes, Gachas, FPS’s, JRPGs, and anything not a fighting or sports game, I’m your guy.

Props to anyone who can successfully juggle more than two gacha games. Adding #InfinityNikki to my pile is about to break my personal space time continuum.

Early December needs to calm down. I want to play everything and sleep, but it just isn’t possible.

One of the things about Stalker 2 that I enjoy most is how it reminds me of playing vanilla, unmodded Skyrim, and (to a lesser extent) Fallout 3. It's clunky, stiff, and mechanically a decade behind, but it gives me this weird nostalgic sensation I can't shake.

My first BlueSky post features the void attempting to absorb the entire sun via a window in front of him.
