Beloit, WI revitalized its waterfront and chose this way to celebrate it: by bringing to life Georges Seurat's "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte."

They rolled in to be heard—and were dragged out for daring to speak. Disabled Americans are protesting in the halls of power because, without Medicaid, they lose everything. #WeWontGetOverLosingMedicaid

Maybe the most important takeaway from the NYC Mayoral election is that a lot of Democratic primary voters won’t vote for a sexual harasser.

Today is Day 74. Still waiting on those amazing deals.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."  -Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1953

Why are no headlines focusing on the unconstitutional and dictatorial nature of this action?

In a more serious country, unilaterally withdrawing from the JCPOA would have immediately ended Trump's first presidency & destroyed the GOP's reputation on national security policy for a generation 🧐

This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.

Here is yet another reminder that the Constitution is not optional… Congress must authorize military force before any president—including Trump—launches a strike.

BREAKING: In a unanimous decision, a federal court of appeals has ruled that Louisiana's law requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in all public school classrooms is unconstitutional. We’ll keep saying it: Public schools are not Sunday schools.

RIP to a real one. 'Asked in the film for a life lesson she could impart to viewers, Ms. Cohn replied, “Be engaged, and don’t accept any order that your conscience could not approve.”' www.nytimes.com/2025/06/13/u...

Energy matters in politics. It especially matters for Trump. Today, all the energy was with the pro-democracy team. Republicans in Congress should be very worried.

Troops marching out of step behind an empty mobile country and western stage captures everything our commander-in-chief has brought to our military.

When Congress funded the DOD, there was no line item for big-boy birthday presidential military parades. Where did the money for Trump’s vainglorious spectacle come from? Cutting Army pay and benefits? Reducing training? Or just Departmental slush funds from bloated annual budgets?

Very low energy. Sad!😂

This time-lapse video of protesters marching down Broadway in Oakland for No Kings Day gives an idea of how many people turned out today @sfchronicle.com

We can do it!!

You do not have to say “pro vaccine groups.” You can say the vast majority of doctors and scientists and the American Medical Association.

Awful: News orgs are credulously amplifying the ugly idea that sending troops into LA is good politics for Trump. This gives his lawless abuses of power the aura of conventional politics, obscuring how extraordinary and dangerous this moment truly is. 1/ (new piece) newrepublic.com/article/1966...

Why is ICE arresting employees but not employers? DOJ policy is to charge the most culpable people. The employers would seem to qualify.

I'm just glad one of these men has the nuclear codes and the other has all our personal data.

Chris Murphy: "We can't be preparing for the 2026 election. It might not come. All of our focus right now has to be on protecting the democracy, about stopping the corruption."

A Florida weatherman telling his viewers he can no longer be confident in his forecasts due to cuts to atmospheric science is the kind of resistance content I’m here for. Kudos, Sir.🌦️
