Taking a pause after a busy day

I couldn’t fully remember what this one was like (although I love Distant Saxophones) so now I’m blissfully revisiting it

Roberta Flack was one of the 20th century's greatest artists. So much more than the songs that crossed over and became universal, though those songs alone earned her immortality. RIP to a woman who changed the sonic landscape. Here is my long essay on her genius www.npr.org/2020/02/10/8...

Celebrating a life. đź’ś Thank god for people who make music.

Doing some what I refer to as Bright Ambient listening, to lift my mood

The building’s sirens went off and the cats flew away, hidden, and my heart was still pounding half an hour later even though it was a false alarm. So now we’re having tea and doing calming, hushed things.

As a follow up to my morning post, I’m sharing this again, as it was a few years ago and at the other place. It’s one of my favorite things to read and fills my heart with joy. Written about/for Ruth Anderson, by her life partner Annea Lockwood… newmusicusa.org/nmbx/hearing...

Went to see Dig! XX (I’m calling it Dig 20, which might be incorrect even though it makes sense) I’ve fallen back into a rabbit hole. If you know me you know I loved the BJM so hard it was ridiculous, lol. Go see the film. It’s a non-judgmental take on being human, and also has great music.
