Last call! Deadline for our summer school on political intuitions is tomorrow. Application docs are few so there is still time to apply

The number of people surprised by the long list of words NSF is targeting makes me think many of you all have not seen this: www.commerce.senate.gov/services/fil...

Flights and hotel booked for SPSP :-) Speaking at pol psych precon, then attending intervention sci precon organized by former PhD student Julia Buzan. Also excited about Saturday symposium on social psych in Palestine. Check them out, and let me know if you'll be in Denver and want to catch up!

Punchy interjection from Karim Bettache (showing PSPR being more bold),asking why psychology doesn't do more study of capitalism. I agree - it's hard to notice as it's like the water we swim in, yet we'd always check water to be sure it's not getting too harmful! journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...

What is the political psychology behind the surge in support for figures like Donald Trump? @jsskeffington on why we need to go beyond crude identity politics & consider how ideological views vary among ethnic minority groups #LSEInequalitiesBlog

My first blog for @lseinequalities.bsky.social let me get a political psychology point off my chest that's been bugging me since November! @lsepbs.bsky.social @denisebaron.bsky.social blogs.lse.ac.uk/inequalities...

First PhD publication from Julia Buzan is now out! We used discrete choice experiments to examine the socioeconomic dimension of choosing graduate jobs with short v. long term benefits, finding important roles for current financial strain, perceptions of control, &connections to a job.Check it out ⬇️

Just one week left to apply for either the 2-year post-doc or 1-year Lab Manager roles at my new lab at NYU Abu Dhabi!

I feel a bit like this about open science. The reforms will likely lead to positive outcomes, even if we overestimate their ability to solve our problems (e.g., replication crisis) The open science movement got us to THINK about what we're doing. That's a positive spin-off if nothing else.

If you'd like living in the Middle East and looking at the world from a different angle, check out and share these ads for Postdoctoral Fellow (2-yr renewable: apply.interfolio.com/160826) and Lab Manager (1-yr renewable: apply.interfolio.com/160827) and help me build up the Societal Psychology Lab!

Happy to announce that I have taken up the post of Associate Professor in Psychology at NYU Abu Dhabi 👩‍🎓 Feeling grateful as the location & intercultural setting is what my family needs, and the political psychology group I'm joining is fantastic. Leaving LSE in May 💔🥲

I taught on a course of Thom's at CEU last year and it was so impressive: smart, thoughtful students from across the disciplinary spectrum, taking a deep dive with big thinkers on questions that matter. This one looks excellent, hope you will take a look.

Giving an online talk tomorrow at ICS Lisbon on my work with Lotte Thomsen bridging Relational Models Theory and Social Dominance Theory, open to all!

I'm chairing the ISPP award committee for the Jim Sidanius Early Career Award The deadline for nominations is 15 January 2025 To nominate someone, simple email me argument as to why they deserve the award and a CV of the nominee ispp.org/awards/sidan... #polisky #polpsych #prejudice #socpsych
