On this day in 1908, Ray Brown was born in Alger, OH. One of the best hurlers of his era, he was the Grays’ “Sunday Pitcher.” During his career, he led Homestead to 8 league pennants in a 9 year span. Here’s a color study of him in 1938, the same year he won the pitching Triple Crown.
