One of the people fired from NOAA today is the director of the Ocean Acidification Program. That program also leads the U.S. government's effort on marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR). The destruction of American science is incomprehensible.

The cost of reaching net zero in the UK by 2050 is now predicted to be just 0.2% of GDP (about £4 billion per year). Spread this far and wide. It reveals Reform and the Conservatives' opposition to net zero for being 'too expensive' as just plain wrong.

The EUs recognition of clean cheap energy and the opportunity it provides is a relief. Words mean nothing without action but the EU has a habit of coming through, so all good signs. It’s more important than ever with the US falling off a cliff. I hope all other nations (f*ck the US) follow suit.
