A3 #EduSkyAU I feel like a good PLN can help stretch, refine and 'sharpen' (as a previous comment said) I find contributing and getting feedback/ideas can be valuable. This keeps us as educators being creators of learning, not just regurgitating the curriculum.

A3 #EduSkyAU I think the relationships can come from multiple interactions, I've been really impressed by teachers with 200+ students in their classes, plus 100s of staff and 1000s of other students that remember still remember doing a PD some months/years ago.

A2 #EduSkyAU I'm not sure if it's the biggest challenge, but I am feeling SM is very fragmented rn I enjoy LinkedIn & TikTok. BlueSky is good but not there yet... Mastodon is probably the best model, but doesn't have the users... FB/IG is more personal X is a just depressing now... ... what to do?

A1 #EduSkyAU Involvement in PLN has helped me get to know what is happening in Education. Often getting to know a few people can make a valuable network Get involved in Associations! Be willing to share your practice! Nominate colleagues for awards! Suddenly the world can open up!

vt.tiktok.com/ZSMFhn5qv/ What does resilience feel like? Great question from TikTok...

Maths Faculty Meeting on Valentine's Day So we spent the first 10 mins of meeting colouring hearts in 4 colours so they each colour has the same area. There is something so relaxing about colouring and chatting. #EduSkyAU

Consider the theoretical limitations on LLMs (paper: arxiv.org/abs/2412.02975 ) shows AGI arising from an LLM is not just a scaling issue. It sounds like something beyond Transformers needed for complex composite problems. How will AI continues to evolve, beyond Reasoning models and Deepseek?

#EduSkyAU A5 I think working with families is much easier if you start with positive and generous in your first interacts. Then try to provide regular positive interactions, then when a negative one occurs you already have a friendly connect.

#EduSkyAU A4 Since working at my last school I've found that the best way to make collegial relationships is to openly share about yourself AND listen carefully to others with similar interests and experiences.

#EduSkyAU A3 I like to give students choices around the room that helps them make the space their own. I also like to adjust the collective noun to relate to them, I've been using "Mathematician" with my classes recently.

#EduSkyAU A1 Connection allows use to move between different people, ideas, and places. These connections are reflected from physical paths through social and neurological pathways.

#EduSkyAU I'm Jarrad, Maths leader on Kaurna Land (Adelaide). This year I am starting at an Independent school (after working in Public and Catholic Systems.

Looking forward to the #EduSkyAU chat in 40mins or so.

First day working at new school. Lots of information and very excited to get started, but as we were leaving, there was a kangaroo on campus. Anyone else got good first day back stories? #EduSkyAU #EduSky

Re-read: A Mathematician’s Lament. I read it w #MathsBookclubWA years ago; This time it feels different. My first read I took the idea of teachers needing to make Maths more palatable for disinterested students. This time I noticed commentary on the nature of Mathematics. #EduSkyAU #EduSky #Maths

I'm setting up my desk at my new school for 2025. Calming views to hills of Kaurna land with an easternly perspective; bring that morning sunshine 🌄. Plus space for my Origami and Rubik's shapes. Time for to get some work done👨‍💻 #EduSkyAU #EduSky #Kaurna

2025=1³+2³+3³+4³+5³+6³+7³+8³+9³ and 2025 =(1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9)² pinkmathematics.blogspot.com/2014/06/a-sq...

Petition to replace constructions in the spec with origami. I mean, just *look* at that 30° angle! Have you seen anything better today?? #origami #mathsky

What if your brain is made for off-road and finding back road, not highways nor race tracks. #EduSky #EduSkyAU #MTBoS This is extract from from TikTok. Wouldn't share directly to BlueSky (or I could work out how) Links are: linktr.ee/m.adhd Vid: vt.tiktok.com/ZS6JU6ymy/

I don’t know why I’m still so pissed off that the answers to “what, where, and when” are “that, there, and then.”
