If we can't sleep peacefully, they don't get to sleep peacefully. Don't call your republican reps because you think you can convince them. Call them because fuck them, they don't get a free pass on this shit.

When ya gotta hire translators cause they laid off locals and hired off shore ..ya think someone would have gone "wait is this a good idea?"

Fun Fact: Noah's Arc was actually a quantum computer. At 300 qubits long, 50 qubits wide, and 30 qubits tall, it had 450,000 qubits in total. That far outpaces the 1,121 qubits in IBM's Condor quantum computer.

“the United States is not a startup. The federal government exists to do all of the things that are definitionally not profitable, that serve the public good rather than protect investor profits. (The vast majority of startups also fail, something the United States cannot afford to do.)”

DOGE recommended firing workers at: -FDA, which oversees Neuralink -FAA, which oversees SpaceX -USAID, which probed Starlink -CFPB, which oversees Tesla's financing arm and a potential payment platform on X. "Conflict of interest" is a severe understatement.

Mass layoffs of IRS agents who catch tax evaders. Once more, Elon Musk's very sincere crusade to cut "waste and fraud" out of the federal government just so happens to weaken government power over billionaires like him. What an incredible string of coincidences we've had here.

Personally, I'm pretty excited that after all these centuries we're finally returning to measuring things in qubits.

What if Elon paid his taxes

All collaborators will face consequences when Trump is taken down

I was just saying the other day that the problem with Dem messaging is not that they're wrong, or that they're talking about the wrong things, it's that (a) they're not making it engaging and (b) they're not tying it to anything actionable.

I was once at a dinner with a VP product from Facebook and a VP design from SAP. FB guy: “move fast and break things!” SAP guy: “No. We make nuclear reactor control software.”

Why can't we run the government like a business? Because "move fast and break stuff" isn't a cool edgy business plan when the stuff being broken is tens of thousands of human lives.

The phenomenon of “leftist language policing” is 99% a product of centrists whining about it constantly. I almost never encounter it in real life and requests for vocabulary updates are typically non-binding guidelines for formal written documents.

Kafka would be so proud.

I've only seen it from one source, but I think Rep. Al Green filed studies of impeachment against Trump today. They'll fail, of course, but it's very important for congresspeople to keep doing this, and making sure it's public who stands in the way of carrying them through.

The SS St. Louis has entered the chat.

Anti convert sentiment or discrimination, othering of converts, are real problems. Don't do that. Be active against it. Converts are Jewish, period.

Yeah, no. The thing authoritarian regimes want - the *only* thing they want - is submission. They want to be treated as a normal, legitimate government. Every single thing that doesn't let them get away with it is a loss for them, and a win for us.

I can personally attest that this should have been all but impossible on a federal payroll system. Unless some impatient, overconfident dev with top level admin access got frustrated by security limitations and overrode them.

People who think like this have never worked in a business full of white men. You think they’re faster??? And more competent???? And cheaper to hire???? Oh buddy…

I'm highlighting this because in a sea of highly problematic biblical comparisons of Bad People to ancient Jews, this one is completely fine and makes a potentially fraught citation in a way that rejects the antisemitic read- making clear that the example is *one individual*, not the whole category.
