www.uu.nl/organisatie/... When suddenly (REALLY suddenly): a 15-month teaching gig at our lovely Medieval Studies group in Utrecht. - Dutch = pretty much a CSQN - early middle ages preferred - the short deadline in no way implies that we already have a candidate in mind so go for it! #MedievalSky

So @medievalrevolt.bsky.social is off doing her Paris January and sending me pics of eighth-century mss of Gregory of Tours. Not jealous at all. Did guess in one which copy of Gregory so that's good. #medievalsky

Seconded!

Found this a bit odd in the Guardian today: (a) "Oxbridge" used mostly as a vibe (Schama's chairs were in the US) and (b) review itself is mostly angry that a 79yo is out of touch (shock) while also being nostalgic for the Good Old Days of BBC documentaries.

You will all be glad to know the paperback binding seems more consistent #medievalsky

"I swear the cookie just disappeared so I'm eating another one" vibe today. Also it's just what happened.
