I fucking cried in my Apple Vision Pro just now listening and watching #Raye doing her thing in an intimate immersive concert. Wow. What a reaction. What an amazing musician. What an amazing device. I fucking cried! #AVP

Biggest and most exciting purchase arrived this morning and I have had absolutely zero time to open the box. Thank you real life. #AppleVisionPro

Oh ok, I guess I do have a buying addiction, as purchased some #MetaRayban (not the cheap ones either). Even as my research (which is getting shorter recently) indicated I aught to wait for the next version. On the up side, however, it’s gonna get sunnier in London. Maybe this will turn out ok.

So just finished the three seasons of #TheWitcher on #Netflix. Each evening for several weeks we got totally immersed in the lore; it was just perfect for momentarily forgetting the reality of the day and this fucked up world.

This is really quite remarkable, especially considering that doctors haven’t found a cure yet for the mysterious “bluesky sickness” that keeps killing users

A Superhero in an open-world survival situation, behaving with precision in a slightly rogue-like way. Yep. That seems to sum me up 100% right now.

"If you only read the books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking.” - I refuse to reveal the book I read that in.

This.

Disability Pride month and yeah, it’s me again. That one guy who will not shut the fuck up about alt text. I honestly wouldn’t do it if more people just went to their settings and made alt text required. A lot of people haven’t and it’s easy to tell because the pictures ain’t got alt. Go flick it on

I love and feel sad for this.

It feels like instead of unlocking a lot of value, what AI will actually accomplish on the internet is something like a Kessler Syndrome space junk cascade where the expanding density of junk becomes so thick that nothing is usable for a generation

Joining Bluesky and listening to others, and rediscovering the fun and geeky and smart people being active on a network, makes me feel like it’s 2007 all over again. And I’m happy for that.

The fact that colleagues have emailed me over the weekend to ask me to consider creating a company account makes me feel as if Threads could be the perfect decoy, allowing Bluesky to remain where the cool kids (and me) hang out [undisturbed and not distracted] (for a little while longer anyway).

Meaningless affirmation.
