"Masculine Energy"

Its much more pleasant to write a latex article with a linter, git, girhub actions, and LLMs thank in a simple tex editor (10 years ago πŸ˜…)

We're looking to connect Berlin & Brandenburg researchers working with causal graphs from all disciplines! ➑️ "Direct" link: applied-causal-graphs.de ⬅️ ⏱️ Abstracts due Feb 7th! #CausalInference #DAGs #Berlin #CausalGraphs ⭐ Keynotes by @philippbach.bsky.social @pwgtennant.bsky.social & Simone Maxand

I hate everything about Meta πŸ˜’.

Classic Meta being Meta.

✨ This year, we saw many new contributors contribute to PyMC-Marketing & CausalPy. Their work has made a real difference. 🌱 Some are first-time contributors, while others are experienced developers. πŸ™ Thank you to everyone who contributed this year we’re excited to see what’s next!

Working with together Claude and exploring JAX internals to write the demean step (alternating projections algorithm) for PyFixEst! The first experiments on GPU show potential against the current numba implementation. The PR is is still open for comments and feedback github.com/py-econometr...

I have decided to collect talk recordings and slides in the same place πŸ™ƒ juanitorduz.github.io/talks/

Yesterday I gave a summary talk on probabilistic forecasting: opportunities and applications Next year I’ll continue experimenting and sharing more around these topics πŸ™‚ juanitorduz.github.io/html/paretos...

I have been using Pydantic for more than a year and Pandera for around 8 months for data validation and it has made my data workflow so much better! Totally recommended!

No sleep, sick child, fever, clients call, pull requests, rainy days, slack… #parenthood

πŸŽ₯ The @pydata.bsky.social NYC talk by Christian Luhmann on ππ²πŒπ‚-𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐀𝐞𝐭𝐒𝐧𝐠 is now live on Youtube! πŸ“Š Catch the replay and see how Bayesian modelling simplifies complex analytics! πŸ‘‰ youtu.be/4FznIhcrHCA?... #PyMCMarketing #Bayesian

Here is an experiment on hacking the TSB model for intermediate time series to accommodate availability constraints. We provide a way to add availability constraints to forecast the "true" demand and avoid just predicting zeros. juanitorduz.github.io/availability...

I have a new paper out on #forecasting harms: arxiv.org/abs/2411.16531 with Bahman Rostami-Tabar, Travis Greene and Galit Shmueli.

I thought a forecasters starter pack might be useful, but I can't find many people. This is a start. Please suggest additions. go.bsky.app/NJJseT8

For those who don’t know yet, I am organising an online talk series together with Arno Solin on β€œAdvances in Probabilistic Machine Learning (APML)”. It’s free for everyone to join and support early career researchers! You can register and check out the schedule here: aaltoml.github.io/apml/

PyMC developers & contributors starter pack go.bsky.app/VL7kEjd (let me know if I forgot to add you).

Starter pack for time series analysis and forecasting (at scale) ?

Any PyMC-Marketing users or curious about it? I would love to connect github.com/pymc-labs/py...
