#showmeyourknits Cowls week. Is it cheating to show a vest knit using Jenise Hope's pattern "Elephant Cowl" omitting the elephants?

#showmeyourknits This blanket is too big to fit in one photo. I dye the yarn with plant materials: madder, walnut, marigold, eucalyptus, loquat and onion. The pattern is www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

#showmeyourknits This week it's what's on the needles. Here is a very simple project for occasional moments during the busy spring gardening season. Handspun (not by me) alpaca dyed (by me) with goldenrod from my field for a skinny K2P2 scarf.

#showmeyourknits Skinny PURPLE scarf knit with baby camel laceweight bought by cousin C at School Products in NYC years ago and given to me recently. I dyed it with logwood and knit it using Stephanie Pearl-McPhee's "One Row Handspun Scarf" pattern. Sent to my natural dyeing swap partner in India.

#shiwmeyourknits Cardigans. Here's my Kestrals Alight, pattern by Sarah C Swett, Kauni yarn. Knit about 10 years ago and one of my favorites.

#showmeyourknits DK week. The yarn is a blend of 89% Cormo X wool & 11% colored mohair goat raised by Catawampus Farm & Fiber, Minot, Maine USA, and spun by Vermont Spinnery. I received the yarn in exchange for naturally dyeing yarns for Catawampus. The pattern is Her Home Office by Anne Hanson.

#showmeyourknits Local Yarn Store. I knit this vest with Jacob sheep's wool, raised by my LOCAL SHEPHERD Steph Grant of Hawthorn & Thistle Farmstead, Washington, ME, USA. Spun by Underhill Fibers, Gorham, ME. Naturally dyed by me/Versicolor, S. China, ME. The closures are slices of Jacob horn.

#Showmeyourknits Gift knits. Here's a hat I made for one of the younger members of the family.

#ShowMeYourKnits Week 37 Show me your grays. I love grays! From top/center: shawl, my V-neck sweater, my vest w/ pewter buttons, husband's very heavy fishing sweater, and my favorite hat. Some of these are knit with locally raised Maine wool. My gray knit winter jacket has already been stored.

#showmeyourknits On the needles today - a skinny scarf using Luxuria AIR laceweight (40% possum, 40% cashmere goat, 20% silk) which I dyed with Japanese indigo/Persicaria tinctoria from my garden. The pattern is www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

This is what a real Senator looks like.
