This is terrifying in America. ICE agents are showing up masked—these abductions must stop. If you’re going to detain someone, show your face, present a warrant, and proper ID. Disappearing people from their families without evidence or accountability isn’t law enforcement—it’s state-sponsored fear.

El Salvador is a contractor providing the United States with a paid service. The idea that we couldn’t get anyone they’re holding back with the snap of a finger just by asking is so ludicrous on its face, it seems less like a real excuse and more like a test of how much shit the courts will eat.

If we want the UK to move towards rejoining the EU, we need to break the Brexit stranglehold on British politics. The best way we can do that now is to get the biggest possible vote for the LibDems and Greens in the local elections. Politicians heed votes far more than words. #RejoinEU

They tell writers to ‘show, don’t tell’ so I wrote a novel in 3rd person showing the main character doing stuff and reacting so you can infer his interior life. Nobody likes it. They want me to say what he thinks, how he feels. They don’t want to do the work of imagining. They want to be TOLD.
