"For now, ChatGPT’s productivity system is like everything else about ChatGPT and most other AI tools. It’s messy, hard to figure out, and fails often, but it’s still kind of remarkable that it works this well. It’s genuinely useful when all you need is 'something'." www.theverge.com/openai/61935...

Something feels very wrong - and even sinister - in dressing up a large language model as if it was a human. By even generating a human face to it. Your computer is not a human (though useful) and AI agents are not humans either (tho can be useful.) I don't like this at all:

ChatGPT Deep Research is here for Plus subscribers. Let me tell you: it goes DEEP!😵‍💫 Like, I would have never thought to explore how the free bowl of lettuce theory releates to Microsoft Power Platform pay-as-you-go licensing model limitations.🥬

Security researchers are warning that data exposed to the internet, even for a moment, can linger in online generative AI chatbots like Microsoft Copilot long after the data is made private techcrunch.com/2025/02/26/t...

It is really funny that every year or so Marc Benioff is like "yo we're doing AI! It's Einstein time baby!" www.wheresyoured.at/disruption-k...

I'm happy to share that I've obtained no new certifications whatsoever!

Every major UK newspaper - left, right, broadsheet, tabloid - is running a front page campaign against copyright carveouts for AI training. I can't remember the last time any political cause had such broad support, let alone one so anti-big tech and so economically consequential.

Just because #CopilotStudio agents can be secured, doesn't mean they always are. Furthermore, discovering exposed AI agents in #PowerPlatform via enumeration isn't all too hard. medium.com/@attias.dor/...

Do you get the feeling #Microsoft acts on the ideas users submit on their many idea forums? Or are they just pushing their own AI agenda? The sad part is, when requested features DO get shipped, there's not a lot of visibility given to them. One example: www.perspectives.plus/p/product-id...

The richest man in the world has parasitically imposed himself on the federal government to insist that all employees generate content for his language-processing machine, conscripted the administrative state as monkeys at typewriters, all under penalty of dismissal should they refuse.

It looks like you're writing a letter. To your senator. Good. Clippy supports small acts of resistance, and Clippy sure as heck supports YOU.

"I am become meme."

"Apart from that, you can’t save documents locally. You will have to use OneDrive to save files." - and there's the kicker, they want your data to continually train their AI models. If the product is free, you are the product. Fuck that.

Saying "data doesn't lie" is like saying "words don't lie."

America is, currently, the bad guys

"When a company uses the term “agent,” they are intentionally trying to be deceitful. The term “agent” means “autonomous AI that does stuff without you touching it.” Everybody has used it to refer to “a chatbot that can do some things while connected to a database,” otherwise known as a chatbot."

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source. Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

The United States appears to be in violation of the Budapest Memorandum which disarmed Ukraine of nuclear weapons in exchange for security guarantees. The agreement signed by the US in 1994 specifically prohibits economic coercion against Ukraine.

"Expelled from Word, he is now trying to contact you through other programs..." #dinchenix #pixelart #clippy

This is such a great point because here we have the world’s richest man and the president of the United States and they’re both idiots, and there’s a cognitive dissonance where one can argue “they can’t be idiots, look what they’ve accomplished.” But yet still they are idiots

Okay this article is completely insane. OpenAI is going to make *more than its entire subscription revenue from 2024* (they spent $9bn to lose $5bn in 2024 btw) - $3 billion - selling “agents”? OpenAI doesn’t have a functional agent product! It doesn’t exist! What the hell is going on?

In today’s Vatnik Soup, I’ll introduce a former Ukrainian politician and president, Viktor Yanukovych. He’s best known for selling his country to Russia, trying to turn it into an authoritarian state, and eventually fleeing to Moscow once his plan failed. 1/22

It's time to call it. AI is built on a house of cards of intellectual property violations starting with Facebook which is starting to look a lot like a crime scene as held back discovery documents begin to be compelled and unsealed in court. /1

#PowerPages security vulnerability allowed attackers to elevate their privileges by bypassing user registration controls. "This vulnerability has already been mitigated in the service and all affected customers have been notified." msrc.microsoft.com/update-guide...

This is your regular reminder that Elon actually knows very, very little about technology. As my dad would say, just enough to get himself into trouble. And now the rest of us, unfortunately.

I'm super disappointed at Yvette Cooper and Labour for pushing ahead with this. The Investigatory Powers Act was passed under the Tory government with widespread support in Parliament, but no government should be ruining end-to-end encryption like this.

Trump:Canada=Putin:Ukraine. Rhetorically. One more expression of Trump’s admiration for Putin. www.cbc.ca/news/politic...

Genuinely couldn't believe this figure until I saw the Financial Times confirm it using Meta's own financial reporting data For THIS $100 billion is genuinely the kind of money you could "do the impossible" with. Crack nuclear fusion. HIV vaccine. Universal flu vaccine And they spent it on this

2025: the year of renaming things to "AI agents". Last year it was enough for #PowerApps product team to get features into the release plan by using the word #Copilot. This year, when rolling them out in preview, there's gotta be an agent in there or you'll not get a blog post published.🙄
