Christ…this is unbelievable DoJ interfering with his arrest?

After playing a fictional member of the Resistance a long time ago, I never could have imagined it ever happening in real life, but here we are.

@counsellc.bsky.social @paulalobo.bsky.social I’ve been listening to this series of podcasts by BBCRadio3 this week and this is my Sunday morning treat … is Ethel Smyth in the 20th Century book? What a story! I had heard of her as a suffragette but not as a composer. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

Every day, the goals become clearer: The point of DOGE is not efficiency, but regime change www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

Something is shifting. They are still breaking things and stealing things. And they will keep trying to break and to steal. But the propaganda magic around the oligarchical coup is fading. (1/2)

@bbcradio3bot.bsky.social doing some fantastic world building here! @michaeldoron.bsky.social I didn’t know the story of Florence Price - but it’s a great one. @mrmountstevens.bsky.social I was inspired to listen to by your Shostakovich story. (Ep2, told by Michael Sheen.) ☺️

I think it’s certainly true that Corbyn has a sort of broadly fair but simplifying worldview that impaired the breadth of his appeal. It also left him ill capable of dealing with paradoxes that defied that such as racism on the left or anti-Western forms of imperialism.

It's coming!

With vaccination under attack worth reading this, which I think is the most understated powerful thing Roald Dahl ever wrote.

#historyteacheruk #Soane25 Looking over the shoulder of the young man writing here is sad for a history teacher I feel, but it makes teacher conferences like yesterdays all the more important!

People, places and a pinch of discipline - @richkhistory.bsky.social rounded off the day perfectly. If we can live by that as history teachers, what wonderful imagined historical worlds our pupils will be helped to build. #Soane25

@michaeldoron.bsky.social Thank you so much for a really fabulous conference today! Such a joy to be back at Ark Soane. Thank you to Beth and Salma, @counsellc.bsky.social and @paulalobo.bsky.social for your inspiring workshops too. I had a great day. ☺️ #Soane25

Made the train with seconds to spare!! Phew! Looking forward to today so much. Just what’s needed to brighten a dark, chilly and rainy morning so typical of this half term! #Soane25

We go again! #Soane25

www.theguardian.com/commentisfre... Read it and take action - it’s probably already later than we think.

Already amusing myself with the "guess which of the descriptors is meant to be better" game for the new Ofsted toolkits.

Nothing has been learned.
