Some absolutely stunning poetry was launched into the Zoomosphere earlier this evening, peeps. I'm so pleased to have been part of it. Big thanks to @matthewmcsmith.bsky.social @blackboughpoetry.bsky.social & to all the fantastically talented poets who read & supported each other 🌟🙏🌟

A windy evening at Luskentyre yesterday. Could barely stand up! It’s a miracle anything I took was in focus. Apple Watch warned me I was in too loud an environment. Last time it did that I was watching Taylor Swift 😅

Primal. Wild. Essential. A rain shower passing over the Harris hills this evening.

#PeelingApples is about love, grief, & the small acts of care that shape us. It’s about memory & the things we inherit. It’s about something that happens so slowly you don’t see it until it’s done. It’s real. It’s mine. And soon, it’ll be yours too. More on the book here: shorturl.at/Ia3nw

So pleased that my poem 'zoom out, love. impressionist cityscape.' has found a home with @brokenspinearts.bsky.social in the forthcoming Glow: City at Night anthology! My gratitude to @alanparry83.bsky.social and congrats to my fellow poets selected to appear. Can't wait to read it all!

As February draws to a close, my thoughts turn to spring, longer days and abundant light. Something from near my childhood home, a spark of nostalgia reminding me of an analog childhood, heading off on my bike with friends and not returning until dusk. Sleeping outside and watching the stars 💚

A-màireach/tomorrow! 🕺🙌 www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/translatin...

Leavin Meta slowly for the Sky, as we all will in time. Meanwhile, to prove it is me here’s a new poem I recently published in @rialtopoetry.bsky.social Dedicated to friend David Kinloch and to the toun of Dunkeld.

I love the direction Christian Wiman has taken his writing in during the last decade. This is so different to the formal poems he’s associated with. First published in Poetry, January 2020.
