Got tickets to game 7 tomorrow, let's fuckin goooo

Been thinking about this too. If they're using AI for the voices and content, and the CEO talks about "AI first", then surely it's also being used for lesson plans, learning strategies, etc. I've got finite hours on this earth. Why should I be using them on something someone couldn't be f'd to make?

Sitting at my kitchen table at 7:43 am, sipping strong coffee and working on a composition for my guitar lesson this week, but using my Strat instead of my classical guitar so as not to wake the house. This guitar is cool as shit and wasted on me.

sorry all

RW Baird, now there's a name from a past life. (used to do integration development for a financial planning software company, and Baird was a customer)

F off, playoff Hellebuyck

fuck Harry Potter read the Earthsea books

A goal on the first shot of the game, man, come on

Damn, holy shit

Practicing a new piece for Saturday's rehearsal, "Piranha Plants on Parade".

Its the ease with which universities have suddenly the money to pay for AI subscriptions, AI professorships, AI workshops, AI everything while they reassure us that "there is no money" to pay grad students and precarious faculty living wages.

hey, Winnipeg! Christine McNair is reading in your town on Tuesday from her @bookhugpress.bsky.social title! hey, @arpbooks.bsky.social! hey, @prairiefiremag.bsky.social! hey, everyone!

AI slop is proliferating across social media platforms, but how do the people behind it actually make money? This week @jasonkoebler.bsky.social joins @parismarx.com to discuss the economy of AI slop and how it’s changing social media platforms. Full ep: techwontsave.us/episode/274_...

Happy May Day!

Alejandro Kirk walks it off on his own bobblehead night and the Blue Jays complete the comeback!

Loading the bases for Alejandro Kirk on his BOBBLEHEAD DAY?!?

I like the idea of anybody at Fandom worrying about Brand Safety. Your brand is making a version of Wikipedia that runs like dogshit and auto plays a video of people I don’t know every time I ask myself “what’s Greedo’s dad’s name?”

The Jets constantly being the late game sucks, man, it's a school night

baseball having its roof daddy moment

absolute kudos for the pope leaving dirt on cardinals he didn't have the clout to kick out at the time

“And I’m like, what do you mean, you ‘do your own research’? You running a double-blind study in your living room, dawg?” - A guy walking ahead of me with his friends on a NYC sidewalk in 2021, also my favorite overheard dialogue of the entire pandemic

"CBC's Decision Desk said about a dozen races across the country remain in play and could be impacted by the results of the special ballot and advance poll counts. These tight races are all in ridings where the Liberals are currently in second place."

The second reading is about a month away.

Me getting sad that Bluesky keeps crashing when all I want to do is look at Canadian election memes
