#OTD ten years ago I started writing poetry in #English, so I'd like to share some statistics to celebrate this offbeat (and masochistic?) idea... Over the past 10 years: 💫 I have written at least 390 poems 💫 I have used 90 notebooks (see photos) 💫 I've submitted my work to literary magazines...

Yesterday I spent a wonderful day at Bantock House for @ninearchespress.bsky.social Poetry Spa. I came home feeling relaxed and energised, full of ideas for my writing. Thanks to Roz Goddard, Roy McFarlane, Angela Hicken and Nine Arches for this fantastic opportunity!

Back from a week in a #Basque monastery to write my next book. Photos were not allowed in the monastery, so here are photos of the landscape and the nearby village of La Bastide-Clairence with its traditional half-timbered houses. #pyrenees #basquecountry #writing #retreat

2024 has been a challenging year in many ways, but even in difficult times, there are things to be grateful for. My mother's unconditional support and the new friendships I made in Birmingham kept me going. I look forward to devoting my time to two new writing projects in 2025:.. (1/2)
