I migrated to UK when I was 20. Had lots of jobs, got through university, became a professor eventually. Spent time in the senior civil service, doing science policy. Paid quite a bit of tax. I would like to apologise to Keir Starmer for the incalculable harm I have done to our country.

We all know *the person* in No. 10 who thought they were playing 5D chess by reviving Enoch Powell’s fascistic phrase “island of strangers”. Keir Starmer approved it — then parroted it. Shame on all their houses.

"People who should have found sanctuary in this country have died by suicide, died from preventable diseases, died because of our hostile border policies. Each one of these deaths is an appalling tragedy that must be acknowledged, mourned, and learned from.’ www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...

My grandmas were immigrants, my mum & sisters in law are immigrants; my sister & nephews are migrants. My kids study maths, Shakespeare, dance, act & score tries alongside the kids of immigrants. My dad’s life was saved by immigrants. Immigrants have made us richer, wiser, stronger Win the fight

Worst is thinking migration tap to be turned on and off for our benefit or to indulge voters rather than seeing immigrants as individuals with agency, choices and rights.Integration ought to be about helping people to take part rather than singling people out and making them perform arbitrary tasks

"A report by the Watson Institute for International & Public Affairs found that more journalists have been killed in Gaza than in both world wars and the wars in Vietnam, Yugoslavia and Afghanistan combined." Sounds like a plan

A good rule of thumb: if Jacqui Smith says you’re wrong, you’re probably right. P.S. She voted for the illegal Iraq war — that killed more than a million people.

NOW: Protestors are rallying in support of Al-Haq and GLAN’s case against the UK government arming Israel taking place right now at the High Court in London

2025: Keir Starmer suggests that pressure on housing and public services is because of migrants 2020: Keir Starmer, "Poor housing, poor public services are not the fault of the migrants, they're political failure"

The problems in our society are not caused by migrants or refugees. They are caused by an economic system rigged in favour of corporations and billionaires. If the government wanted to improve people’s lives, it would tax the rich and build an economy that works for us all.

Today, the Independent Alliance delivered media handbooks to mainstream press outlets, suggesting basic ways they could hold the Prime Minister to account over Gaza. You can read the full handbook here: linktr.ee/jeremycorbyn

The Prime Minister imitating Enoch Powell’s ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech is sickening. That speech fuelled decades of racism and division. Echoing it today is a disgrace. It adds to anti-migrant rhetoric that puts lives at risk. Shame on you, Keir Starmer.

Starmer is aligning himself with a man who was too toxic for Ted Heath.

Didn't have Starmer as a fascist sympathiser on my 2025 bingo card. Shouldn't be surprised though, he was always a snivelly little shite.

Keir Starmer is now Enoch Powell, but with the charisma of a comatose accountant.

Finally did something I really should have done months ago and resigned my membership of the @teamlabouruk.bsky.social after Starmer decided to go all Rivers of Blood this week.

When Starmer said "change", he meant it

The clues were there with Starmer when he Wasn’t getting great responses on the doorstep. Binned off all his leadership pledges. Witch-hunted solid, left-wing, community based activists. Created swathes of PPCs in his own grey, uninspiring, visionless image. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

The step-up in anti-migrant rhetoric from the government is shameful and dangerous. Migrants are our neighbours, friends and family. To suggest that Britain risks becoming “an island of strangers” because of immigration mimics the scaremongering of the far-right.

Its just so disappointing that UK politics is "well Reform won a lot of council seats, so we should cater to those people" When the Greens won more seats than Reform, and its ACTUALLY where a lot of Labour votes are moving to, yet none of their policies are headline news every goddamn day

Labour MP Lucy Rigby pedalling unabashed 'British Jobs for British Workers' rhetoric pioneered by the BNP in the early 2000s.

I've just joined the Green Party 😀

I'm so old, I remember when 'British jobs for British workers' was a National Front slogan

This might sound pretty basic but if politicians led their decision-making with “how can I care for people well?” instead of “how can I win power?” I think the world would be in a better spot.

A race to culture wars, bigotry, isolation and poverty. ➗ + 🌰

Well I’m out. I tried. But I’m not having this.

This... 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 It's proving just how asinine Keir Starmer is.

Who will he and Farage blame when migrants are no longer an issue? My guess is, what bullies usually go for… the poor, the weak, the different? apple.news/AKTOBf7mERKO...

"A crushing blow" is how Care England has described government plans to scrap the social care visa scheme, which allows carers from abroad to work in the UK. It is a move which care providers say makes the crisis in social care even worse news.sky.com/story/restri...

The media are starting to see that genocide is undeniable. However, those who have enabled this mass slaughter must be held to account, including the media and political classes. There is no two-siding genocide.

Yes we do, @peterstefanovic.bsky.social -but we also have a stupid and craven government who will not use their enormous majority to effect the change people voted for, and instead are trying to out-Reform Nigel Farage.

There is a unique place in hell for racist killer Keir Starmer

“As soon as possible”? What is that mean? - after we’ve all been handed titles and a seat in the House of Lords? At this rate, I’ll be Lord Overworked of Underpaidshire!! We need a £15 per hour minimum wage now! #£15Now #FairPayNow
