Feeling a little awkward that my main response to news that the pope is apparently dying is wondering if I should watch Conclave

Half a canister of Barkeeper’s Friend later, these are my hands and this is my oven.

Several good things are happening according r/fednews so I am going to drop them here. If federal workers are fighting back, how much more us? A thread/

I literally reported this Wednesday.

I'm very late to this but I just discovered that there's a Lumon account on LinkedIn, a site I am almost pathologically not on, and I cannot believe that this is going to be my Trojan horse (well, Trojan's horse, I guess).

It would be hard for you to find something that you can do that is more effective. better, easier, faster (and freer!) Use your power!

It is wild to me how fast so many national and/or high profile orgs are caving so quickly. Be like Allentown.

“It makes it so that people who are living here undocumented in Allentown and are not committing crimes can live without fear of themselves and their family members being rounded up,” Allentown council member Ce-Ce Gerlach, who sponsored the legislation, told the @penncapital-star.com.

This is going to be SO GOOD. Check out the Kickstarter and support if you can.

THEY BACKED DOWN!!!! Fighting works. We can do this.

I am truly boggled that anyone thinks there is moral room to do anything but push back against this administration on every front available to you as much as you can

"The services cited concerns that participation in the predominantly Black event could run afoul of Trump's orders and the Pentagon's intensifying push to erase diversity efforts in the military." This sure sounds like the federal government saying any events for Black people are now banned.

"To ensure that we are complying with the President's Executive Order" is a phrase that should be replaced in every instance with "we are using every means at our disposal to challenge President Trump's executive orders" and then, you know, doing that

Nonetheless, this is FUN

oh god, Tom Brady is going to call players "studs" all night and it's going to be so gross

should this be my new coping strategy y/n

Going to try to stay offline today but before I go, I just want to share that at last night's trivia in my tiny town bookstore (a growing light in the growing darkness, I love the place) our team name was Panic! At The Ren Faire

BREAKING: Mitch McConnell (fingers crossed)

So... is there a point at which my periodic totally panicked impulse to pull a significant chunk of money out of the bank and stash the cash is not as crazy as it feels and sounds? And are we anywhere near that point?

I spent 4 hours in meetings today with librarians who are tired from working so hard to comb through information to provide to patrons who are scared. We are also scared. (And it's not just public librarians. Your academic and special librarians are terrified and exhausted as well.)
