We are hiring! Are you interested in lateral root development and the cellular processes that accommodate these newly formed organs? If yes, apply! We are recruiting a Post-doc (from May 2025) and a PhD student (from September 2025). www.unine.ch/lbmc/jobs/

"Trauma-informed approaches" aren't actually abt trauma. That's just the name that caught on. It's like "smart phones". They are much more than phones. That's just the name that stuck. Trauma-infrmd approaches are abt the biological stress system underneath behaviour. Ignoring that is obstinate.

THIS. The biology is key.

So happy to see this published! @emmanuellebayer.bsky.social and @yvonjaillais.bsky.social labs congratulations👏🌱! Thanks for including us!

Just discovered that a journal’s preprint server @authorea.com has managed to get my name wrong on the searchable database entry. How do I get this corrected? Particularly disappointing as there have been a good number of views and downloads.

I've been developing a semantic search tool that covers not just bioRxiv and medRxiv, but the entire PubMed database. This means you can search across a massive collection of biomedical research using keywords, questions, hypotheses, or even full abstracts. Try it out: mssearch.xyz

This is so important going forward.

🚨Preprint Alert🚨 I'm really happy to finally share our exploits in red algae and introduce the wider community to Bostrychia, the new model system we have been developing to tackle the molecular biology of red algae. Isn't she a beauty? Thread below 🧵 1/8 www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

February 25th, 11AM EST. Join us for a panel discussion on "Perspectives from Black Professionals in the Plant Sciences" featuring Dr. Margaret Young, Dr. Stephon Fitzpatrick, & Dr. Jason B. Thomas. rootandshoot.org/root-shoot-w... Open to all, come be a part of it! #BlackHistoryMonth

I'm incredibly proud of the work the broad plant science community has done through the ROOT&SHOOT initiative. Given its nature, our future funding is uncertain. Please give us a boost by sharing this announcement and joining us for the event, we'd love to have a big turnout. Thanks! 💚 #PlantSci

This is such a loss for the UK- we need to future proof vaccine development. Without this we lag, don’t make the most of our science excellence and are left trying to buy in the latest innovations at great cost
